Most people wouldn’t expect the chow hall to be the most stressful/scariest place in BMT but let me tell you, during that first week training you shit yourself every time you go into the cafeteria for your meals. It gets better and over time the MTI’s ease up on your flight though. By the end of your time at training you actually enjoy going to lunch and watching the zero week flights get smoked throughout their whole meal while you eat at peace lol. Good times

My husband 4 years ago was laundry crew and working with the boys was the best job he could do their in his opinion because all of them worked together and help each other. He was in Disneyland. I went to BMT on March 2023 and also was laundry crew and it was my worst experience there. I guess between girls it's more deficult, at least my group. We ended up staying 4 girls because before, the other girls didn't want to work, they just wanted to lay around talking, making jokes, while we made all the job. They also left the clothes with stains and many times lost socks and bra of other girls, They also damaged some clothes because they just wanted to throw the clothes and leave fast. When we needed help, the other girls desappeared. Literally I cryed 2 times, I was so angry. And our machines were far from the dorms, while in Disneyland they were near. I also was chow runner and was so scared because at that time my english was not the best, but I did good . My friend was american and she got so nervous and started to cry or just stayed quiet and forgot the words and it was her worst experience.

DO NOT GET COMPLACENT AT BMT! I still remember it like yesterday. Flt 250, jesus christ... we were in the home stretch, we had already gotten our Airman's Coin, and 4 days before we left, they held a random dorm inspection... everything was tossed because 80% of our lockers were a mess. We thought we were home free. Our MTI came in on his day off just to smoke us. He was so disappointed that we pushed until 60 and he just stopped counting. Pretty sure he got Counseling from the Instructor Supervisor, for our fuck up, we felt like such a let down. That same day we jogged 2 miles around the track in OCP's, 80 push ups and 70 leg lifts with our boots... It was a shitty week but we came out with our heads high! TL;DR DO NOT GET COMPLACENT AT BMT!

Just want to be prepare for BMT jobs/duties ✈️
@AirmanNick4 жыл бұрын
It’s not a 100% forsure the oldest in the flight will be the dorm chief it is just very typical that the MTI will assign the oldest as the dorm chief. I would not volunteer for the position that is typically a job that the MTI will give out. If they allow trainees to stand up and volunteer for it go for it If that’s what you want.
