Hi everyone Im Stacey,the Vegtastic Mum!
We make home made meringues and turn them into eton mess!!
On this channel I aim to bring you some amazing home cooked vegetarian foods for you to try at home.
I like to do my best to save the pennies where I can,so you will see me cooking with Air Fryers, Instant pots and induction hobs,but dont worry,all the recipies I do can also be cooked using other methods.

@Vegtastic mum, hi Stacey, for the novices it is worth mentioning, you need to degrease your bowl and utensils beforehand, as your egg whites will never rise if they come into contact with any form of grease,. I know I learnt the hard way. Love your videos, even though I'm not a veggie x

That’s so clever!! I have had one disaster after another making meringues in the oven but I’m gonna give this a try for Sunday! We always have egg whites left over cause we make our own Mayo.

Hi Paula, an excellent tip I learnt years ago, facing failed risen meringue, any form of grease do not mix with making a meringue. Always before starting wipe your utensils & bowl with lemon juice or a spot of vinegar to degrease utensils, this will ensure your egg whites to become light and fluffy like clouds. Hope this helps too.

Nice to know you can make meringue in the air fryer, I make them all the time in summer to use up all the strawberries from our allotments. A little tip, if you add a few drops a vanilla essence it gives the meringue a lovely flavour rather than an eggy taste 😘Also you can keep them in an airtight container for about a week or freeze them.
