You’ve convinced me to get an air fryer. What everyone calls “rare” now we used to call “blue” but around the time that TV chefs started becoming rock stars everyone reckons steak should be eaten just about raw. I could order a rare steak at any pub in Australia in the 90s but now for the same result I’ve got to skip over medium-rare and order medium and occasionally when I do I get a confused look. Like the barman doesn’t even know what medium is😁

Some of the best steak we have had was cooked in the air fryer, they are fantastic. If I could suggest to you if you didn’t do it, maybe you did it off camera, after cutting the spuds up wash them in a bowl of water, you will see the misty white cloudy water, rinse and wash several times until the water is clear, that removes the starch from the spuds which makes the chips really fluffy inside the chips. But that’s a great way to cook steak chips and Caesar salad I’m gonna do it through the week.

That looked really good. Eff the haters. I don't know you personally, but I've got a pretty good feeling that you'd be eating home cooked food of a night. It's just not something you normally show on your channel, because that's not what your channel is about. It is nice when we do get the odd glimpse though! I haven't had steak in the air fryer, but I absolutely love snags in there. In fact, I had some 2 nights ago. I'll definitely be trying the steak.

Hey2 aussie if you are reading the comments just saw this on Facebook (Not sure if you've been there?) someone said Busy Corner Takeaway in Lithgow is hands down my favourite takeaway in NSW. $1 hand made potato scallops (I ordered 4 but they gave me extra . So crunchy, and they poach the potato slices with milk and butter before battering so it has a nice buttery potato mash kinda flavour. The Portueguese chicken burger was also fantastic. Never had chicken breast so juicy at a takeaway before

That steak looks amazing for an air fryer, though it kinda needs some gravy. It's good that you let it rest. People tend to prefer steaks cooked to be a bit pink in the middle like that. Much more and it starts to get tough. You might have noticed how easy it was too cut, even without a steak knife!What cut is the meat, may I ask?

@@bigfella6629get a Silicon dish. Makes it a lot easier. I was really skeptical about them but cooking wise it makes no difference. As far as cleaning really all you need to do is obviously wash the dish,then wipe out the base of the cooker with a couple of damp paper towels.done. Easy

Actually I cooked potatoes and pumpkin in the air fryer the other day so good the pumpkin was to die for. I put them in a plastic bag with olive oil, Italian herbs and salt and pepper to season, it was sooo good
