Couldn’t get these in high school because I was broke and my dad unfortunately was dying of cancer so priorities at the time were helping mom with bills but as soon as I knew these would be back I was gonna cop but from the feel online these were high slept on (thank god!!) I ended getting these and the cardinals from Nike a few weeks after the release with a 25% off coupling both pairs were $168 each plus free shipping what a win I got both my coveted 7s from high school thank you to all the hypebeast who just want Yeezys, Travis’s and off white which makes getting some retro Releases a breeze to cop 🎉🎉

What I like most a lousy thrm not being laced up is they hold their natural shape, as opposed to being choked up from the lacing.

I am a big 7s fan , very underrated in terms of style , comfort and performance out of the OGs imo. The newer shape does throw me off a bit , both 7s and 5s especially the newer / tweaked shape i am still getting used to compared to OGs & older retros. Chambray 7s were one of my favorite non-OG AJ7s ; though from early pics to in hands i could tell something was off on the '23 version compared to the previous retro. I prefer the '06 version but will still grab these ; though willing to wait to buy these later on and see if they go on sale in the meantime.

I love the Cardinals quality was amazing but the shape is hard to get used to. It is very slim and you don’t have as much room on the top of your foot in the side like the old pairs.

@@iuhoosiers14 i agree, Cardinal 7s quality was really good on the recent retro but the shape def different on newer 7s. Cardinals i copped on release day then returned when i saw how much they were sitting and was able to get them on sale a few months later. Cardinal 7s even tho OGs not my favorite OG 7s but still were a must cop for me. Chambrays a clean colorway but im hoping if i pass this month focusing on at least one UNC Toe 1 (ideally double up) and Black Toe 1 lows ; that they sit and go on sale like most 7s and i'll grab them then.

for all wide footers i would suggest going with a .5 size up, these fit snug and when I went to a 10 it was very snug and was rubbing on my pinky toe

I can’t wait to get these back on feet again. I’m always going to be a sucker for the black and university blue color blocking of any basketball shoe. The 2006 Chambray 7’s will always hold sentimental value to me like the 2005/6 Jordan 5 LS and the 2003 and 2009 Jordan 12 Nubuck.

These are really nice but it's not a shoe I will be picking up because I don't need them. Chambray is traditionally a light blue color so i guess that's why they chose to name them that, who knows.

Copped today for 120 at nike outlets in Puerto Rico, idk what anyone says, these on foot feel amazing, forget the Jordan 1 hype people. Take the time to measure and put on shoes and you'll be amazed of what you come across in terms of confort. I own 2 pairs of the originals. After seeing how they butchered the Citrus', I was pretty worried, and while I do kind of notice the difference in silhouette, I am impressed that they improved the materials. I hate durabuck. It makes re-glues a nightmare since it flakes off when exposed to heat. And it flakes off over time regardless. I have to BABY my OG pairs (one is near perfect, the other is flaked all over). I will probably pick up a pair and put it on ice. Genuine nubuck makes it worth it for me and takes this to a new level. I do miss the cut outlines though

Im really on the fence about these. They were one on of my first Jordans back in 2006. I even painted my room almost the same colors without knowing it. If i can find them for a good price ill pull the trigger. Cant justify retail when they dont look the same as before

I love Jordan 7s, but the chambray from 2006 with a white stitching with so much better than the one they make now but I would buy these at retail or below. I have wide feet so I would go up a size for the best comfort and I have two pairs of 7s

I did a custom to my bred 4s. Super light grey outlining on the cuts to give the OG look of material cuts. Maybe an option here too for someone that wants that depth. I cut up a sock and glued on the hirache style opening for right shoes of my citrus and cardinals because hard area hits my ankle bone and is painful to act as a buffer. Can’t see from outside of shoe thankfully. Only gripe of 7s. Not sure if others have had this issue.

I use 10.5us in the majority of my sneakers and i recommend 1 size up if you want to feel comfortable. If you like to feel your foot without space and precise to your size, go up 0.5. 🚨 I don’t recommend go tts (at least in this j7 color) 🚨

I really dont like 7s when the panels are emphasized. So multicolor uppers or the versions with the white edges always looked bad to me. They are literally worse looking 6s and the panel shapes is why. So I like these a lot, because of how muted the upper looks.
