Nice video. Recognise some of the installers from our job 🙂We had our heat pump installed (1950s house) before solar/battery and it's performing really well. Smart tariff has helped a bit.

if you want true efficiency should take out the buffer. also roger should get open energy monitor that will give you a super accurate SCOP

Loved the editing and humour in this video! And yes, I'd like more heat pump content! I'm considering the Aira heat pump, but I don't know if they allow non-Aira technicians (like Heatable) to install them? Would Roger be willing to make a blank copy of his spreadsheet for others to use? Feels like all his hard work in setting it up could benefit more people, so they're not having to, as you put it, 'sheet on demand'. 😂

great video, It would be great to get more user experiences from heat pump properties, and not just the sale pitch. Yes they are so much more efficient over a gas boiler, but gas is cheap! Electricity is expensive, this key bit I feel is often ignored. I do not know any air source heap pump users that are saving money. Yes there homes are 21 degrees 24 x 7, but the money cost is still the same as mine with a gas boiler. Cheers

Hey Richard, we definitely agree with your side too. These aren't the answer for everyone and they definitely aren't cheap depending on how many upgrades you need to make to the home. It's more about the green agenda than saving lots of money, unless you have solar panels that can mean you can actually make some real savings due to the price of electricity vs gas.
