So as I was researching for an Airachnid related explained episode I stumbled across something that I genially did not expect to find, and that is Airachnid's Bizarre personality change in the Japanese dub for Transformers Prime. So Airachnid has been change almost entirely and could essentially be counted as a new character, I thought this was so bizarre and interesting that I thought I might as well share with all of you what I found out about her in the Japanese dub of the show. I've seen the japanese dub of TFP, so I knew this. I think they were going with a more yandere-type feel with her character, even with her humming a traditionally malicious japanese song. I love some of the things japan adds to transformers, like how ridiculous they make dreadwing by making him shout "Bang! Bang!" Or just... everything they did with knockout lol.

It's not too weird to see the changes they made for Airachnid, the people that localize the transformers series to japan tend to make this kind of changes because they make it a big emphasis to make the transformers more infantile for the kids. TF Prime tanked in Japan and TLK didn't do well either, so TakaraTomy had to merge with Hasbro. That's why there are no more Japanese exclusive decos. TF Legends was the last of the unique paint jobs.

About Goku Black, I like the voice shift, when in base form he talks like an evil Goku, but when he goes Rose he has a more British accent, I think it works because he is Zamasu, just one who is in Goku’s body. Zamasu has such an ego that he see’s himself as perfect. So when Black uses Rose, he would see it as an elegant and beautiful transformation. Essentially going Rose makes his ego worse.

The japanese dubbing for Airachnid is way too weird for the devilish Arachnicon they we know from the english version. Almost like a entirely new character exclusive to japanese verison of the show. Actually sure, combine these elements of her personality, bubbly voice tone, the white/blue/pink fan art design on the right side of the thumbnail and here is Crystal Widow. -Also I would like to see the english subtitles for what japanses dub for the character is saying.

Ryoka Yuzuki Is an amazing voice actress who can voice serious, calm and collected characters (some of my favorites being Shizuka Hiratsuka and Akio Fudo). If anything I would say that the translators and the company are at fault here for giving her those instructions to voice her that way

I’m gonna say it quickly, arachnid is dead, we know this because of the season 3 episode “thirst” where arachnid becomes a terrorcon, before that she takes back command of the insecticons and charges at soundwave, soundwave spacebridges her and her army to one of cybertrons moons, the final scene is here on the moon drinking the insecticons energon, she most likely starved to death in the years after

this 180 is even more bizarre because I'm pretty sure her design is somewhat based on the jorogumo, or spider woman from japanese mythology (at least in her half body form) a terrifying monster. so, this character who is clearly meant to look, be, acts and is vicious (and clearly takes influence from a famous japanese horror creature) just went over their heads entirely as they make her goofy/bubbly?
