Correction: Jokic won the last 4 MVPs in a row. We don't count make-a-wish MVPs for Joel Embaby.

Jokic 2021: deserved MVP. Jokic 2022: Deserved, though there was debate. Embiid 2023: Here, take it and stop whining! Jokic 2024: Deserved.

Jokic should have gotten all four. The NBA and certain voters could not near the thought of the next 3x, back-to-back-back MVP, was the next to do it after Larry Joe Bird. It's intellectually dishonest to think otherwise. @@bdkq1902

@@bdkq1902 2022 is well deserved. The only people debating because of seeding are casuals who think Embiid and Giannis played all 82 games. You don't get credit for wins your team got without you. Neither guys played and won more games than Jokic who carried a terrible team all season.

I'd totally stopped watching the league, and from time to time I heard about this Jokic guy. I thought it must have been some kind of weird hype. Then I checked back in and watched him play. Also a FIFTEEN BPM! Obviously that will come down, but it says how strong this start was. FIFTEEN breaks BPM. Jokic is already like 5 or 6 of the top 10, and is the #1 season at 13.72. Hes currently at an absolutely laughable 15.1. The next best non Jokic season is lebron at 13.2 in 09, and MJ 12.96 in 88!! These were their athletic PRIMES and Jokic is doing it at 30!!! Side note, is he's doing this at thirty, it tells you how long he has left to dominate the game. He could play to lebron age and still be wildly dominant.
@eric5280
@eric5280 9 күн бұрын
@daddyfuse50 it's nice to imagine though I didn't think he has enough passion for basketball to play that long. I wish he would but I can see him looking for a relatively early retirement so he can go back home and tend to his horses.
@daddyfuse50
@daddyfuse50 9 күн бұрын
@@eric5280people say this, but he has A LOT more fire for the game than ppl know. He just doesn't have a pr team or social media - he spends his whole offseason watching offensive coaching seminars, writing the speakers, and bouncing his ideas off them. That's Kobe like obsession, he just shows it in his way.

@@daddyfuse50This. I'm so sick of people saying Jokic isn’t passionate about the game. He is, he just doesn't constantly talk about his mentality like Kobe did (I love Kobe, but people harp on the Mamba Mentality wayyyyy too much when using it to put other players like Jokic down).

His advanced stats are top 5 caliber, but for the playoffs he's in that tier with West, Baylor, Frazier, Oscar, KG, Erving, Dirk, Moses, KD, Kawhi. He needs a couple more deep playoff runs and especially another ring to get into that tier with Shaq, Hakeem, Wilt, Havlicek, Steph, Magic, and Kobe. If he gets to 3 that's enough to put him with Russell, Kareem, Bird, Jordan, Duncan and Bron.

Black legally means "someone who has no rights", who does "illegal" or even "evil" activities. Like in black market, black money, black magic etc.. White legally means "man or woman with full civil rights", in other words, legal or "official" like in white collar, white money, white magic etc.. .So if I say about myself I am black, I´m labeling myself legally speaking as having no civil rights, being illegal and/or evil. Think about that for a second before you ever again say you´re black or white. You are only Robert, John or Jessica, you are not black or white Robert, John or Jessica. It´s very easy to understand, bro. Accepting any adjective in front of your name is a trap. Free legal advice.

Jokic is not like that. He plays game after game the way he always has done. It has nothing to do with team Serbia loss semi finals against team USA. Jokic has and always will do exactly what his team needs, not less, not more. He will not try to hide if the team is down 20+ pts but he will step up and carry the team and will always try to win the game anyway. And if his team is winning with 20+ pts in the last quarter and he´s 1 or 2 assists or rebounds of a triple double, if his coach sends him to the bench, he will not ask the coach to play more minutes to try and make that 1 or 2 assists or rebounds!!! He perfectly understands the bench players need to play those minutes to get a confidence boost. That´s just how he is, he always does what his TEAM needs, not less, not more. We Nuggets fans are so blessed to have him.

You know something? I really like your analysis but in this modern times there's a lot of talk about awards, achievements, titles....People on social networks are fighting who's the best of all time and it makes me sick. Everybody should be examined and everybody's legacy should be analysed after they finish their careers. I'm not an American but in a historicaly young state and society as is American, that sort of things are highly praised and valued because of a lack of history. It's also an artifical, man made / managed state, ruthless capitalist society where success is everything. It's a wrong view of the world and life in general. As for Jokic, they should live him alone and give those stupid symbols of recognition to somebody who really craves for them. Jokic has something that's rare in today's game and world in general..... A pure love for the game. He's an artist. We should enjoy in his unique talent when we still have the opportunity. Don't bother yourself with stupid recognition symbols that really mean nothing. He doesen't. Enjoy in life and in beautiful game of basketball, especially when it's played by true talents that understands the game on a higher level like it's supposed to.

the only thing that sucks for us nuggets fans is knowing how worn down jokic is gonna be come playoff time he's averaging 38 minutes a game at the beginning of the season! the front office has really sucked at bringing in talent around jokic since they went and got bruce brown and kcp who are both gone now. also murray will have a great game every now and then but he's really regressed since 2023. that max contract he just signed will weigh denver down for years. idk if its the amount of lower leg injuries he's had plus the acl or the fact that he doesnt work super hard to stay in shape(those rumors have come out of denver before). but either way murray shouldnt have regressed this much in his mid twenties. id rather he focus really hard on rehabbing properly than playing through injuries.

Yeah the Curry era is officially over. He practically balanced the game since young players these days were becoming obsessed in making threes. Jokic demonstrated how big men can be good in many aspects of the game.

Jokic best player in the league and theres doubt, think about the players to be the concensus best player. Im pretty sure Kareem, MJ, Lebron and Jokic are only ones in history. Wilt and Russel battled, Magic and Bird battled, Shaq, Kobe, and Duncan battled, then for a brief moment Steph, Durant and Lebron battle( during Lebrons run as best). I believe there only 4 hoopers in HISTORY that have been NO DOUBT #1! 100

MVP voters wont want to give it to a white guy because of Trump; also Shai almost won last year and some people think he was robbed. For these two reasons I think Shai will win it this year, unless something dramatic changes

Luka's not playing at Jokic's level. I hope he gets one, but not this year unless injuries get in Joker's way. It's even more obvious to close and live. @@nintendofannot4898

Its anybodys game. Injuriesy slumps and narratives will select a winner. There is no way Jokic can keep this kind of production.

Nah get bill russel outta there. These need to come with context. Jokers competition is SIGNIFICANTLY better than anything bill russel went up against.
