As European we eat it just in a bit different style but also with sweet and sour, but it’s not overpopulated in most areas, so we don’t eat a lot, just if it’s getting to much. Arrow hunting is forbidden. We shoot them mostly with 7.64 ultra speed ammunition, so over the military allowed para bellum of 1000m/s, 12, 1300 m/s, so they die of shock immediately anyway, if u don’t hit the heart. It’s not allowed to let animals suffer, cause of not perfect equipment for the animal. So if u shoot a deer with a 22 u r in big trouble.

Bowhunting wild pigs is the best. Just seeing them is enough for me sometimes. If you get a shot and harvest one it's even better. Congrats, looked like a fun hunt in a cool place.

The abosolute most beautiful, well textured and aromatic animals in the world. I love the multiplicity of colors that these pigs have. There must such a pleasant smell in the vicinty that these Pigs are. They are just too amazing and just the best animals ever.

IMO, the best eating size is around 100-120#’s. In the smoker. Was a good hit. Sweet!

Lot of ranchers will trap young boar hogs, castrate them and let em go. They grow up but have better taste and texture. Also prevents them from making any more babies!! We try to shoot pigs under 150 lbs . 80 seems to be the best, IMO
