Why are so many people commenting about how this is cruel. By killing the hogs, hunters are saving the agricultural jobs and the environment . The pigs are so aggressive that they have no natural predators other than humans. So, to all those snowflakes saying this is bad and cruel, don’t watch these videos.

@@the_90s92 I have hunted my whole life and never met a hunter that wastes meat, not once. If they can't eat it all, they give it to poor people or people that just like wild game meat. Sometimes you get an animal that is rank from hormones and is not edible, but that is rare and just happens sometimes.
@finq0997
@finq0997 8 ай бұрын
it is literally illegal to not harvest the meat, there are actual laws that specify which parts of the animal you have to salvage and which ones are optional. Nobody just goes into the woods, shoots deer, bear or whatever, takes the head and leaves the meat to rot. Pest and predator control aside, but it's not like you can eat coyotes and foxes. I mean you could, but you wouldn't unless your starving.

Good hunting. As to how it was nutted; there are people who do it when they catch a lot of small one's and then let them go to grow up into the big one here; so as to get a lot of really nice meat from it for the freezer. And it's really nice eating. Rendering the fat and then putting it in jar's and keeping it cool makes home made lard . Good stuff. Enjoy your day and there's more to come.

Two questions: 1. How do you guys make sure that the meat is not infested with Trichinella? 2. This hog was castrated and had a docked tail , this means that he is domestic and not a real feral hog right?

🤠Hi, great video 👍 My last boar hunt was with a CZ .308 I am doing the homework to get a compound bow. "I was wondering if you could share a description of your gear". Your bow brand and model and what draw weight were you using. What distance what you from the Hog? The video seems to show that you went through it. Thank you.

Interesting hunt & good to see that you're eating your kill, no waste. Could you tell me specifically the make & model of your bow please. I can't shoot a powerful bow these days, as I'd dislocated my right shoulder several years ago. It still gives me a lot of gip. So had to use a compound crossbow to save the shoulder (Barnett Predator) using triple broadheads.

Question for you…. Do you really consider that an ethical kill when the animal ran off and suffered and finally died from bleeding out or suffocating on its own blood?
@ronmarvicsin7709
@ronmarvicsin7709 4 ай бұрын
Ethical kill? Where did ethics ever come into play with hunting? Animal activists worry how the pig felt when he was shot. How far it had to run until and how he suffered before he died? Try raising money and giving it to the farmers who are out of money due to pigs trashing their fields?

@@ronmarvicsin7709 I think it says a lot about one’s character when putting an animal down quickly and cleanly is important to them. I feel when hunting from a blind, all shots should be quick and clean. But that’s my beliefs. May be a little different with those guys are flying from a helicopter trying to eradicate them. But one shot while hunting should be well placed.

@@Judge2011 there’s not a dang thing PETA with what I said. When an animal is shot with a bow, 99.9% of the time, it runs off and suffers to death. That’s not an EYHICAL kill. That’s all I am saying smart ass.

@@66881alex It isn't obvious to the vast majority of people nowadays, who's entire food provision life experience is from a supermarket. Yes I'm serious, it's a rational question, and no it's not obvious. So, let me ask again: What's the difference between wild boar meat and farm-raised?

@@MRTOMBO Probably something to do with the fact that they don't grow up eating kibbles but rather eating natural things in addition to the fact that they are free, which perhaps influences the improvement of the meat different from the rest that would be imprisoned along with several others ?

@@66881alex I would assume the same. What I was looking for was an actual description of the differences. Such as "Leaner", or "has a better taste", or "texture is better, more like (insert some kind of description here)", or even "Nutritional value is much better (insert data here)". As example, Wild Caught Salmon vs Farm Raised Salmon: Farm Raised Salmon is comparatively weak on nutrition, and, as I understand it, those fish are also subjected to Dye to retain the salmon coloring. The flesh is also fattier from fish lazy raised in a Farm. Wild caught Salmon has the expected levels of nutrients and is naturally much darker colored as a result. It is also LEANER, and thus trickier to cook properly so it's not dried out. It's also not as plump or thick of a filet, because it is leaner. All I'm getting at was the reasoning for my question. I've never had wild caught Boar. I assumed there would be differences in the meat quality/consistency, perhaps the nutritional value, and maybe even the fat makeup. Another example: Butter. Grain fed cow butter (most of what we see in the grocery store) versus GRASS FED cow butter (which is what cows evolved to eat. The FAT MAKEUP between the two butters is exactly the opposite of each other. Grain fed cow butter having the "bad" fat in the majority, and the "good or better" fat in the minority. With the Grass Fed butter it's reversed, the "good or better" fat in the majority with the "bad" fat in the minority. Again, just elaborating on my motivations for seeking info on wild boar meat vs farm raised. Thanks for the reply.
