Little hint for you. When screwing the parts back together first twist the part backwards when you do that you will feel the male thread line up with the female thread. This will prevent cross threading. I'm a Mechanical Designer with 42 years experience so I can say this works.

thanks for the great video! Just one thing, I thought that the whole point of the H&S airbrush is that you can easily remove the nozzle so that you can pull the needle from the front. Pulling the needle from the back pushes the residual paint into the body, removing it from the front avoids that, making deep cleaning easier.

Putting the air valve in the ultrasonic gets an epic YIKES from me. A fast track to blowing an air seal Liked the water/mug idea. Never heard anyone advocate dumping a whole load of cleaner into an ultrasonic unless you want to wear the finish off or can burn through cash (most branded cleaners are not cheap to burn through that extravagantly).

Cleaning all the parts in the ultrasoninc cleaner is overkill. The parts that does not come into contact with paint, like the handle, airvalve, trigger, waiste, needle chuck and screw and basically everything from the trigger backwards, does not need this treatment. And you only need to do it when you have serious problems. Otherwise a sprayout and a wipe is all you need.

Hi, thanks for the vid, very interesting - I'd heard that using the ultrasonic like that can damaged the o rings and surface of the brush - it's been nearly a year now, so how have you find it - is there anything to the ultrasonic being bad or is it fine?

The long tool that you say is for tightening the golden part of the body is not for that, and will bend and snap if it is. Once the trigger is disassembled, the tool is inserted into the back of the main body and used to unscrew the internal seals so that they can be removed. There is another, shorter, thicker and stronger, tool, for tightening the golden part of the body. HTH.

Thanks for videos. I think that you forgot one thing to mention. What about airbrush maintenance after cleaning, eg. when there are problems with smooth needle movement or a trigger? Do you use something like Iwata Lube, Badger Regdab or totally something different? Maybe there are other alternatives...

if you paint miniatures, it's not necessary, many artists and illustrators use the airbrushes and they don't paint in spray booth, but if you paint cars, big models,etc.. and you use toxic paints, you must use a mask and in a spray booth :)

@@AngelGiraldeZ I now got the airbrush and I have tried it. It is a bit weird because I can't use the quick fix at all. I have to press the lever almost all the way back for any paint to come out. I'm thinning my paints of course and running my compressor at around 1.7 bars. Even at max settings at 6 on the quick fix no paint will come out. I'm I doing anything wrong?
