I would definitely appreciate a video on color theory, one of the weakest aspects of my painting is choosing colors that look good together. Also, I really appreciate the effort of getting VO for the English language videos, I wouldn't be able to pay as much attention to the painting if I had to read subtitles. The voice over performance is also very good, it's not just a dry reading of a transcript.

Very surprised by the lack of views on this video, and your subscription numbers, you are a very talented artist. I'm very new here and haven't explored your channel, so you may have done something similar already, as I see this is from over a year ago but it may help to put the English language content on a dedicated channel, and then cross advertise between the two channels, in that way the English language viewers that like your content will watch closer to 100% of your videos, and your Spanish language viewers will watch all of them on your main channel, as I suspect most of them would skip the English language voiceover. I'm of course happy to continue just appreciating your contents as is, just think you deserve more subs from initial impressions.

Another totally excellent tutorial video, Angel. I checked this out for tips to helpe with painting the Techmarine on a Firestrike turret. I have previously followed most of your Ultramarine video and had already applied techniques from there onto my Techmarine so I already have an airbrush colour scheme applied and will carry on with thay but the tips n tricks shown in this video will, no doubt, be SUPER useful!! You mentioned wanting to know if we want a colour theory video. I've searched for one from you hut returned no results sooooo, if you still want to do one, dude, it gets my vote!! Keep them coming!! Your videos are just amazing!!

A colour theory explaining how you figure out which colours work best as shadows and highlights for specific colour would be excellent. Different types of white for example, bone, polished marble, clean white etc. Thanks sharing for all your lessons Angel.

Great video as always. I think adding Space Marine painting video was a great move as they are often the “gateway” to painting, and the techniques can be applied to any heavily armoured miniature.

It’s also instructive to know how to make heavily armoured models look interesting. Without the differences in colour tone and saturation they can be dull. None of those problems here!

Great video! Two videos I'd love to see would be a color theory video (like using yellow instead of white and pink to high light black etc) and watching one of your box art minis be painted from start to finish (perhaps in time lapse with voice over to explain what you're doing). I got both your master class books and videos like this really help to understand how to get the result you achieve in the books. I would be great to see a video with some of the minis from the book. Suggestion: #1 The fear of failure is greatest when I don't know how to recover from a mistake. So when you show us the fantastic techniques remember to show how you recover from mistakes. #2 I would love a color theory video. Especially if you also cover both right and wrong uses of colors.

I think a color theory video would be spectacular! I'd also be interested in a material theory, as I'm sure the approach to highlighting etc would be different if the Blood Angel in this video was all/mostly in a robe instead of heavy metal armor etc. Hoping that you keep the walk through on Marines going, I'd be keen to see one on Crimson Fists, and how you can get good results / values out of dark / mostly dark colors.

Great video for those of us starting out, I also watched the first tutorial on the Blood Angel and I have a couple of questions. When mixing on the plastic lid and adding the paint to the cup, do you clean the cup out first? How often do you have to clean the needle? I am also guessing that you do not used airbrush ready paints as you also use an artists sable brush? Also I have seen some videos where a dark low light/shadow area is air brushed first, wondering what your thoughts are on this. I look forward to your comments.

This is just great! The video is excellent overall, but it was the stage of shading by glazes that impressed me the most. Even when I was studying step-by-step photos in your books, the step where you accentuated shadows by glazing in darker colours seemed to produce the most striking change in the overall look of the miniature. Now when I saw it in action - it just looks like magic :) Is there a chance you could make a separate tutorial video about this technique specifically? I'd love to have a closer look at the paint consistency and the process of applying those glazes at normal speed :)

I haven't seen this comment, but I'm sure it's been said: Between PART 1 and PART 2, you skipped how you painted the black areas like the chest emblem, back of knees, etc. Did you mask them off and airbrush them? I'm more interested in this than the layering/painting. Odd that it was skipped. Thank you!

I have a question, at 16:45 of the video, you explain a detail when shading the kneepad: a transition from highlight -> shadow -> intermediate color -> highlight. At 16:59 in the video you can indeed see that transition in the kneepad. I'm wondering: Why the highlight at the bottom of the kneepad, above the dark panel-line? Is that a purely aesthetic choise, to increase definition? Or to mimick something like a reflected light, for example from the edge highlight directly below the kneepad?

very good question!, with that "light" in the kneepad you get a better definition, you play with the volume butthis light isn't necessary if you don't want. I'll record a video where I'll explain how to place the shadows and the highlights :)

Is there a reason the red highlighting is not as intense on the model’s left arm below the shoulder pad? It feels like there would be more light at the top of the model than the bottom being closer to a light source.
