Kota Kinabalu International are able to handle A380 in respect to its runway and airport facilities but I am not sure if the front counter and the luggage handling are able to keep the pace with it...

As seen at 2:33, there is a 747 parking at the apron, so there must be chances to upgrade to a380 parking spaces as MAS will change its fleet to a380 by 2011

so much difference in Kota Kinabalu airport now 9 aero bridges including 4 large one for the B747S and A380 and 17 parking bays on terminal 1 and 8 parking bays for the LCCT terminal 2, runway 32L will be equip with ILS approach after runway has extended to 12000 feet

The KK international airport is bigger now, its all new with the whole terminal building has been remodelled phase by phase, also with its extended runway.

@nihongo02341 the minimum requirements for the A380 is 10000feet of runway above. It was also on the newspaper stating KK will be able to support the A380 once extension is completed.

My Friend, If you can see 20/20 in the Class I medical certification, with any ocular correction, then you can be a pilot.

IN order to support the A380, there must be reinforcement works on the TDZ . This means doubling or tripling the concrete thickness
