I’m learning the a340 in xplane. It’s sure is a great plane to fly. Definitely was harder to learn since I’m used to Boeing but once I learned it’s now easier than Boeing. And in the sim it even has the camera on the tail 😂

To have a dream is a good start - work hard and keep youe eyes and ears open as opportunities arise from time to time! In order to give you some advice on how you could get yourself going, I would need to know where you live as career paths are somewhat different in Europe, the US or Asia? But it all comes down to either start with flight school and work your way up through all the licenses and flight hours or get into a program with a commercial carrier. I wish you all the best - it is a dream worth following!

It is because of the refresh rate of the CRTs - it is lower than the fps of the video recording, therefore we only see fractions of the whole picture.

Das stimmt, doch ist dieser meistens, wenn die Bahn z.B. nur zum Start genutzt wird, nicht aktiv und deshalb empfängt das System des Flugzeuges diesen nicht und stellt somit auch keinen RWY-mode im FMA dar. ;-)

Diese Layouts sind mir leider nicht bekannt. Als ich noch 320 flog, gab es diese bei uns nicht und die 340-Instrumentierung ist ähnlich alt.

I assume that you are referring to the displays? These are old ones and have a low frequency to display the content, so if you are filming in high-res with relatively high FPS it is tough to find the right setting to capture that. I used 30fps which is capturing most of it but ot everytime.

Ist EFIS2 (die LCDs) eigentlich eine nachrüstbare Option? DMCs müssen neu und eben die DUs aber Kabellage evt. nicht.​@@PapaPadde

Da muss ich gestehen, dass ich überfragt bin! Im A330 und A346 befindet sich diese Option, insofern denke ich, dass es relativ einfach umrüstbar wäre. Natürlich kommt dann wieder die Zertifizierung zu den reinen Umbaukosten hinzu, insofern vermute ich, dass alles in allem die Kosten den Nutzwert übersteigen würden.

The frequency at which the content of the dispays is displayed is very low as these are old. And if you film these with a high res camera, the higher fps of the recording lead to flickering.
