23:15. The concorde has a tail wheel which prevents the tail from scrapping the runway especially during landing because of the high angle of attack for Concorde while landing. If the tail wheel is not there, the engines would touch the ground. With the tail wheels there the aircraft is devoid of being at an angle such that either the engines or the tail could hit the ground. Also the Concorde does not have an APU and always relied on ground power until the pilots start its engines

There is a another reason for Concorde aircraft discontinued Concorde was involved in a serious accident on July 25, 2000. On Air France Flight 4590, some debris blew a tire and punctured one of the fuel tanks. The fire and engine failure caused Concorde to crash into a nearby hotel, killing 113 people in total. ❤
