Captain Rikard (and his crew) is/are a great ambassador(s) for Lufthansa and all aeroplane companies that deliver passengers and cargo safely. These videos show the skill and dedication they use to fulfill their commitment to passenger comfort and safety. I applaud them all. Thank you for your service. It reinforces my faith in air travel, knowing the professionalism of all involved.

I've been in the industry for over a decade... and yet, I still enjoyed watching this. There wasn't anything technical in this video that I'm not already familiar with but watching a crew that work well together, that are good-natured, friendly, professional, that take their time to brief anticipated taxi clearances (these things are not always the case in real life flight operations) - now that was the pleasure in my viewing this.
@soujrnr Жыл бұрын
These guys did a phenomenal job of maintaining a sterile cockpit during the take-off and landing sequence. I don't see that kind of discipline with all crews. Theirs was outstanding!! I love how the captain explained some of his equipment as well. I've been involved in avionics and aviation all of my life and am very familiar with all of the instruments, but many are not, and his explanations are very helpful in aiding people in understanding all the bells and whistles in the cockpit. Well done!

I look at these two pilots as la creme de la creme of professionals. Not only do they have to be perfectly bilingual, knowledgeable in physics/tech, etc, but they also seem to have a very confidant and stable state of mind.

Big respect to the pilots. One thing is to understand, another thing is to explain the instruments.

Best Captain And A Crew All The Pilots Of Lufthansa Are Very Calm Especially The Captain Talks To First Officer Like A Friend
@romanmichaelhamilton87296 жыл бұрын
I love this crew as they so easy-going and really professional too. The Swiss XO seems like a great guy to be around and work with too. The Captain is so easy-going and explains everything so thoroughly yet so easy to follow and understand. Captain Rikard also reminds me of the actor Micheal York. When I watch him in these videos, I for some reason envision Captain Rikard in a Sandman uniform from Logan's Run. :-) I still love that movie after all these years after first seeing it when I was just eight year old. :-) I've flown Lufthansa a few times across Europe and they are absolutely a first-class operation. Wonderful pilots too. I took my first ride on a 777 from Cincinnati to Paris and it was a wonderful experience even being in coach. The plane is so large and was fully loaded with passengers, that is seemed like forever until this beauty went up into the air. It was December then and the plane landed at Charles De Gaulle when it was still complete dark. We taxied over the main freeway in and out of Paris and it was awesome! There was a lot of plane traffic, so we sat there for maybe 10 minutes giving me the wonderful show of cars coming in and out of wonderful Paris. I never thought that an airport taxi-way would go over a huge freeway! Magnificent experience! All of that while going to see my fiancée shortly thereafter. A day and night I will NEVER forget.

Done 4 return trips to Europe in 777s over the last couple of years. This was great seeing such a detailed explanation. I particularly loved the bit about explaining lift, changing the wing profile/area, and the importance of the speed brake (which I got to see on the descent on my last flight).

In the case of this flight and crew, I agree. In commercial aviation as a whole (with the good, the bad, and the ugly pilots), automation & auto pilot saves lives by controlling system and information technologies to reduce human workload, especially, re: sensory processes.

They have a good sense of humour and get on the best with no-one to bother them......until they get home, and then all hell breaks loose after realizing he forgot to get milk and bread at" Price Savers" for his wife and kids ! .
