BTDT as a Naval Aviator and LSO ... "THE ROOF" of a US Navy aircraft carrier ... it's the most "dangerous" and the most exciting place in the world ... and in the daytime -- a LOT of fun once you're experienced and know the drill.... Nighttime, however ... with nearly 200 nighttime CATs and TRAPs in my logbooks ... I can say it's "stark terror". But you learn to do it and take it in stride. I'm an old guy now ... but if I could, I'd go back and do it all over again ... FLY NAVY !!!

I think the French aircraft were qualifying on the Truman, Rafale and E-2 labeled Marine. For other scenes, watch if you can see the CV number on the Island or the washed out ship name on an aircraft.
