But if something is made so real, does it still count as a simulation if it's being controlled by a control system? Also remember to be helpful to others as it can increase your karma points and those can be used for positive rewards.

It Is true that the expressions are quite subtle and relevant. I want to see the pair in full Hollywood-level makeup and wardrobe so they are made to look human - proper skin tone, hair, clothing and set backdrop - THEN let 'em get into it. Beauty is subjective but if it's more than 80% of perception then that is the accepted standard. If there's no specific requirement to make a robot "ugly" or neutral in appearance, designing it to be beautiful and adorable could provide many advantages... :-)
