Yep, worth investing in good low-tack masking tape.... Don't worry, I've been at this hobby over fifty years and with every build - EVERY BUILD - I learn something new. Best from NZ.

You did a lovely job on this kit, the decals turned out very nice! I would say that the camo is a bit blurry, but that's the fault of the masking tape not working in the first place! All in all, it looks like a very good kit, and excellently tooled as well. I've got the post-war schemes set in my stash right now, and I look forward to building it! Have a Merry Christmas!

I love building models, painting is a chore, I don't enjoy it but can't argue with the results so do it anyway. Weathering? Pin wash and I'm done pretty much, can't be arsed any further. I leave that stuff to you guys and just sit and watch instead, more fun.

Well I do not fully agree, the fuselage green stripe drove me crazy and the yellow stripes that you need to apply before the b&w ones just never fit, whatever the way, even upside down. Strange design, and the outcome is quite poor. I've removed them and I'll paint them now and will see later on for the big stripes. Maybe I was wrong somewhere...
@Adam_Boots2 жыл бұрын
When using masking tape I'd recommend a light coat of the base colour first before the second colour. Any paint bleed will blend in and it will seal the edge of the tapento prevent any more bleeding. You should also consider trying AK camoflage elastic masking pufty. It should work much better than tape.
