I had the stand-alone farmhouse kit (without base plates and accessories) as a 1970's teenager. It really added a lot of gameplay options if you had the Airfix Waterloo armies. Airfix should re-release all the old building kits like Sherwood castle, Fort Apache and the Foreign Legion fort and all the figure sets to go along with them. They have all the moulds so why not?

Man kann durch offene Türen und Fenster ins innere der Gebäude sehen..........etwas Inneneinrichtung von Haus und Ställen wäre gut.

My mate had this set up in his room back in the day and I took a shot with an air fix cannon and pinged a Prussian who was peeking out one of the farmhouse windows what a shot! &, how we laughed..it’s funny what you remember. Thanks for the memory.

Had this without the base with French, Prussian, German, Dutch and English foot soldiers cavalry and cannon back when I was 8-9 ish, many a night reenacting Waterloo, I made a paper mache battlefield with trees made from grapevines and lichens complete with cannon craters. balsa wood fences and ramparts, I would spend hour after hour building battlefields, painting Airfix soldiers, Woolworths got all my money back then, remember washing Airfix sets in hot soapy water so the paint would stick after the releasing agent was cleaned off them, made the mistake of not washing them one time and all the paint fell off staright away,

When you've seen the farms in the area this looks rather downscaled. 1/72 soldiers are almost as high as the gate. Pity. It's a nice kit in itself.

A very nice build, although it took me longer than 20 minutes to make! As I mentioned in a previous post, I was outside this building a couple of weeks ago and while the model is a good replica, the kit could have done with about 50 1/72 scale model cars as well, to replicate the busy traffic hurtling by on the a adjacent road!

It's called French Farm house although it's in Belgium. It's a shame about the traffic though, the area should be protected

Waterloo is Belgium, not really a french farm :-)
