This figures are a good option,theirs exposed a figures of others brands but the combination of dinamic and statics pouses break the monotony of british infantry of others brands

Great review. Just painted up the British line Regiment, and a box of the Native American Indian. On route to buy the American line Regiment. Can’t wait to get started.

I never understood why they chose hussars to represent the British cavalry. Why not the Scots Greys or the heavy dragoons? Given they were up against French cuirassiers, it would be a fairer fight. There were quite a few hussar regiments on the field of Waterloo, IIRC the KGL and Hanoverians had busby headed regiments. So maybe that's it? I'm not sure if they had kettle drummers in the field, AFAIK, they all used trumpeters and the drummers were supernumeraries. Also, why only one carbine? Didn't they all carry a Paget carbine or was that not the case in 1815? I do love to count rivets. 🙄 These niggles always irritated me, even as a child, so I have rather negative memories on what is, after all, a rather nice set. Funny how a childhood bias can follow you to adulthood.

Much different (better) than the sixties set that we used to play with . The allied soldiers always had more detail
@martinjones724621 күн бұрын
The cool thing about that set is that you could use it with the Airfix American War of Independence figures or the American Civil War figures. And any period of the horse and musket era's.

Good evening, receive a respectful greeting, I am from the generation that grew up with the esci figures, in the late 70s, they were only available in Italy, I had the joy of having one of the first editions and I know all the opinions given of this material and motivates me to write to you because those same figures, produced by ESCI, disintegrated in my collection, today, I discover with satisfaction that ITALERI, manufactured them again with a hard plastic similar to PVC. What I investigated about the ESCI figures, analyzed at my university, was that they were possibly made with plastics with short polymer chains, which are plastics that do not resist certain chemical and environmental factors, such as UV light, solvent vapors, etc., subsequently, A disintegration process of soldiers from other brands such as Zvezda, Revell, Matchbox occurred in my collection and I would like to know if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them, thank you.

Finally you should say that I’ve just bought the exact set. I’ve got a modelling kit and with a very sharp blade took off all the rough edges they don’t go in the holes you have to use superglue but with the aid of a very strong magnifying glass and light, I got there in the end, very difficult

The Officer or NCO with the binoculars is spotting for the Vickers crew (that's how I always used them). There's two of them to match the 2 Vickers and they're kneeling, so they fit nicely. It also makes sense that the Vickers would be the weapon they would be sighting at along range. Of all the thousands of miniatures I had as a kids across dozens of conflicts, I believe the 3 man, 5 piece Vickers team from this set was my over all favourite - although the Napoleonic artillery crews were also very cool. I could never figure out why the other sets didn't go with the nice, two piece MG set up - would've been great for a Browning M2 and the German MG34/42 with a tripod.

The Airfix Waterloo RHA are incredible. There is no equal to them. No other company has a detailed horse and limber system,nor do they have a large number of gun crew. Great job by Airfix.

I had just one box of these when I was a kid in the 1970’s. Mine were a medium gray or blue color. The WW1 German Infantry set was also the same color and very clean.

The new 2024 release of the 1/32 figures has made you video pop up again 😊 They are nice figures all round.

The old version of these were nicer in the non shiny plastic as it showed details better. The colour is fine though, unlike the Germans.
@cyberleaderandy12 ай бұрын
These are still nice figures ( they were in the 70s) just a shamecthe shiny darker plastic hides the details morecthan the original lighter plastic. At least its better than the awful bluey purple used on the Germans.

The weird thing is that on the old and modern German paratroopers in 1/32 scale their helmets retain the swastika on them on the box art.

Re the fez; If it was red he's a Bersagliere (light infantry, they wore the black cockerel feather on their hats), if it was black he's a blackshirt and should have a dagger on his belt.

Absolutely love the 1/72 size army men. I went nuts on these back in the day being a kid. My faves were the U.S. Paratroopers, then the Germans. I kinda liked the brown Russians with their big Russian coats on as well. The Japanese green were ok also. Great great addicting fun setting them up in dirt being the commander determining who the winner would be.

These are certainly good quality figures despite packaged in plastic bag just as I used to buy toy soldiers back in 1970s mid to late. I can say they've just beat the Airfix German infantry. Not many in the pack but great figures. At least no quadruple copies. I'd like to have those but again I may have mentioned previously I'm in Australia and there's nothing like this unless someone who owns toy soldiers and asking for a pretty penny for them. But still like the Airfix of course. I've seen some collections for sale on eBay Australia but the asking cost is over the top for a few soldiers. And lots of doubles to quadruples.I wonder how I can find on eBay these versions TSSD? Very well made.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

At least this Airfix multipose range i have two boxes of the German infantry and the poses are great. That walking figure is pretty good even unpainted.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

Question. How do you get rid of the annoying mould flash? That's an interesting note would be great to know. I've thought if they could be cast in plastic styrene would be great only drawback wout be the very thin weapons or even hands would be prone to damage. Ok. Just a thought.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

That's it the crawling soldier from my young days in Greece. The laying down figures I wish they didn't do or just one but better none at all. Especially when you got about four of them in the 24-25? box. I think I better shut it now.🤫👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

Hello. Something came to mind. I still have smo memories when I was 7-8 year old early 1970s when I was growing in Australia also in Greece I'm an Australian greek. Back to point I'd go to a local milk bar in Athens Greece where there was a big glass jar of all different coloured soldiers and were mixed recast Airfix soldiers but I remember the US crawling soldier the rifleman and Commander in bright green colour and yellow or light pink. Some darker green and some red and blue. How I remember that not really sure but we all have memories from our childhood we can recall almost like it was yesterday .Later years at age 14 i did still collect soldiers if they were available. I bought reproductions of the Airfix German infantry and those US infantry except the box claimed to be Greek Army. Both moulded in opake white. But shows how old those are but pretty good figures overall. Hope I didn't put you to sleep.😄😄😄👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
@George-pp2hr2 ай бұрын
I thought the Airfix German Fallschrmjager are the best but Pegasus figures are pretty good. First time I've seen those. I like that there is all different poses no doubles or triples. True you can mix those with the Airfix for extras. Only problem is I'm in Australia and have only the small rereleased Airfix small 15 PK figures and then there's the price rage exchange would cost close to AU $80.00 + postage that's the price of a pkt of soldiers here in Australia, add customs and government charges. Nice figures another item I can't have. Enjoy.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
