Be careful modding your rifles. However I still like the African ordnance upgrades that I purchased.

Hey buddy, when you got all those upgrades from Jeremy, you should have purchased the steel breech casing and screws. It is recommended on the website. After that, you shouldn’t have any problems.

Agreed,.. def need to buy that Stainless steel carrier tube, which makes that new setup work properly... again if you do go that route and install it, just keep an eye on the cocking lever screws not rubbing to much against that powder coating he has on that spring, as it can get stuck and you can wind up sheering them off... I did., wasnt fun, but Jeremy helped of coarse .. so all good @Long Island Airgunner -Hey bud, I'm from Long Island myself, so if your shooting at Brookhaven? Jeremiah check to see if by NOT using the longer magnum hammer that came with the kit., is punching back with to much force and overworking that top hat internal breech and spring., and loosening those breech screws possibly throwing something out of alignment as you fire not hitting square and true as it should....as I know you reassembled using the mag spring but with the STOCK hammer .... it's a possibility just saying? I assembled mine as is , using Jeremy's complete kit, both ham and spring... and the only issue that I was running into, was that the cocking lever handle screws were barely catching the coating on the Red mag spring, so as I cocked it back, it would rub a bit until I went to the range and put 100 rounds through it... its still very stiff cocking the gun but its smooth now after working it in.....also add with some blue loctite on them as well so their secure... But, also lube but not heavily, all of your components,..Your internal gun housing..(check for burrs from carrier screw loosening, re-file down as necessary), the carrier tube interior and exterior, breech block too, and also the spring and power wheel,(ballistol-Rem-oil)what ever your comfortable with, when reassembling all your parts... it def helps... also I know you just mentioned not blue thread locking those screws... Ya It's easy to miss, just re-clean out those breech screw holes with denatured alcohol/alcohol and reapply... Probably best to Pick Jeremy's brain and email him for some info, he's helped me considerably... and Always responds... gl bud

I Have the same problem with mine after I did the same mods. I found out that tube with the hammer in it slightly bends causing it to jam. If you roll it on a flat surface you can see it just a little bit. If you smack the lever forward you'll eventually get it to free up then you can get it to work with out taking it apart.

​. ⬆ This is likely your problem. I've seen this personally on a customers gun. Unfortunately, even after you try to replace it with a steel sleeve, there will be warping and scarring inside of the Texans body that it will ultimately cause a hang up too... Not wanting to say it but... Most of the time its toast. I attempted to machine a new inner surface for a customer... To no avail.

#1 You dry fired it !! It's easy to do !! My texan modified with AAO stainless sleeve!! Mines slings roundballs over 1200 fps!! I hate it got two barrels over 3000 in it !! It's bad ass but don't like to shoot it

That is some serious problem to have with a very expensive rifle. I would have returned it if under warranty. I hope you can fix it.

He had installed an after-market extreme power kit ..so don't even bother with the warranty.

Same problem with my factory TX2 Texan 50. Happened twice. The pin that goes through the sear actually wears out!!!

Hey man so I’m new to air guns and I was gifted the same one and basically it’s stock with CF tank and I dry fired a few times put it in the safe and than the charging handle got stuck. I emailed CS and was told dry fire is harmful and can sheer the screws. Also I hear something rattling from the air tank I never thought I could easily have such issues

Are you getting more shots since you added the 4500# tank? With my 3000# tank I get 2 good shots then it starts dropping. I have the .457 LSS

If I shoot my favorite ammo the Nick Nelson .297 GR I get 6 accurate shots before accuracy starts to drop.

@@themichiganoutdoorsman at what distance? I am shooting the same bullet you are. At the moment I have mine zeroed at 75yrds with the original 3000psi tank and no mods at all.

Would it be fair if you changed the title ?? IT wasnt Air Texan brand but your choice to install a third party modification....which you should state...misleading...
