250g Self raising flour 250g sugar (I used granulated) 250g marg or softened butter (I used budget marg) 4 medium eggs Filling: 1/2 Jar of Strawberry Jam 150g double cream, whipped Icing sugar to decorate Choose BAKE setting (press MATCH)140c/285f 45mins, test with fork if clear, it's cooked, or try a new trick I learnt, if temp is 98c/210f it's cooked!! once assembled (see vlog ;).....) dust with icing and enjoy!!

What a lovely sponge! Here's a little tip for getting jam out of the jar without it coming out in lumps. Pop an ordinary knife into the jar right down to the bottom, and wiggle it fast round and round. The heat caused seems to loosen the texture so that you can just pour out the amount that you need.

Just a quick question not sure what you used to lift out your cakes but they look really good could you tell me were you can buy them from l made a single cake and l can tell you it came out perfect and very fluffy thank you for the recipe it's so helpful when l want to make a victoria sponge cake we use our air fryer every night to cook chicken breast with bread crumbs it makes it perfect and we also do fries they are perfect unlike the oven they do not crisp up l think also we can save alot on gas has not using the oven

Hi Kerry, i was going to say happy birthday to you till i read the comments and realised it was Al's birthday, anyway happy birthday Al, 🎂🎁🎈. The cake looked lovely, i would be more than happy to get that for my birthday. They used to say years ago always cold the flour in with a metal spoon, i must admit everything just goes in the food mixer. I bought some of those silicone moulds, i made a tray bake from your recipe the other week but I used a foul tray with a lining in so i had some mixture left so i used two of the moulds but i couldn't get the cakes out of the mould, did you manage to get yours out. It looks a good channel to watch and what a lovely book.

I got it from aliexpress, significantly cheaper than Amazon inc cheap postage, just have to wait 3/4 weeks for delivery. Fast becoming my most used Airfryer accessory www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004669520187.html They also sell the bowl clip and anti heat glove thing, they're rubbish don't buy them👍
