Absolutely spot on gents regarding thermal spotters. Don't need to spend more than £500 I'd say. My hik 06 was £379 and it's changed my game for pest control and I don't need to know if it's a rat or a squirrel or a rabbit because my ir telescopic sights will tell me that so save your money

Hello Mat and Rich, Thank you for a great listen and heads up with many things airgunning. It was nice to hear about the young fellow contacting you and asking your advice about the latest thermal kit. I'm sure he'll be in a much better position going forward now after listening to your advice. My heart sank a little when, as a youngster, he was asking about quite expensive equipment. However, everything is relative. With great respect to him, I wasn't allowed near an air rifle at that age, let alone anything else. I sincerely hope he finds what he's looking for and is able to go successfully forward on his air rifle journey. I hope to see you at this years shooting show. Best wishes, everyone, Ian

Wouldn't that be good. Though I'm sure we'd end up nattering away and scaring everything off! Thanks for watching. And yes, it does get toasty in the hide with the heater. Though I should add that it's important to ensure good ventilation - cannot stress that enough. My hides are perforated so has really good air flow through.

I am trying to find some decent footwear I walk about 200 Mt to do my shooting from ,i suffer badly from cold feet do you know any good brands I normally lean by a tree for squirrel shooting .i find a good pellet is the bisley long range gold take down squirrel's at long distance.i hope the new daystate has been thoroughly tested as when I got my Delta Wolfe i had lots of headache so I will always give it at least a year before i get something brand new FX also do the same so I i not picking on daystate enjoyed your video i might see you at the show if you are not to busy 👍

Thanks for watching. I wear either a pair of neoprene Le Chemeau wellies or some Jack Pyke Hunter's Boots. A decent pair of boots is of course good to have, but so too is a pair of decent thermal socks. I also have some squares of polystyrene which I've put into some thick plastic bags. I put them in my hides to put my feet on to slow down the cold travelling up through the ground. It really works - give it a try.
