Good morning! We are now a week into rain. It’s great for shooting but I’m wanting to do other things. I’m ready for sun and warm weather.

Thanks! The video was longer than I prefer but I thought it might help new shooters to see recoil. Plus folks get to see all kinds of different guns of different vintages. 😀

i really like a well behaved springer air gun that feels good to shoot but my favorite are the pumpers daisy 880 and the sheridans and the benjamins. these are all older models.

My pneumatic guns have been my favorites since last fall. I forgot how pleasant and easy it was to shoot my Marauder. I’m curious to see if I can get my 362 or a Benjamin to be as accurate long range as either my Marauder or Air King. I really like my Diana model 36 as well but it’s a bit more demanding to shoot than the others. I think I find the pumpers to be the most relaxing to shoot as they aren’t hold sensitive. No recoil, they are light weight, no auto safety and I guess there is something satisfying out of hitting targets at long ranges with guns that cost significantly less than my German made springers or my PCP.

That last one is my favorite. I Learned something today 👍( not the mag fire)

My Air King is a very nice airgun. For me it’s too nice to use out in the field so that limits it’s usefulness to an extent but I still really like it. Seeing my Magfire again makes me cringe. 😂

Great vid to chill and see a little of each gun. I'll lurk Ebay and snag those vintage pellets when there's a deal I miss those Copperhead wadcutters.

Thanks! I was concerned about the length while editing it last night but I thought heck, pretty neat to see and hear a bunch of different types airguns while they are being shot.

I recently got a used Diana model 48 springer. My fist air gun in over 40 years. I grew up with pump a Benjamin and Sheridan. I’m looking for a recommendation for an inexpensive scope and mount setup. I’d be fine buying a used scope off eBay or a forum. I don’t fully understand why springers are so hard on scopes. Thanks
@airgunsofalaska Жыл бұрын
Springers are hard on scopes due to the two way recoil. The gun moves in relation to the piston flying forward and it moves again when the piston stops against the end of the air tube. I believe the 48 uses the same floating action as my Air King so I’d recommend the Bullseye ZR scope mount. It allows the scope to float and I’ve not had any scope damage problems with mine. I’d still be sure to buy an airgun rated scope as they are designed and built to cope with the two way recoil. Firearm scopes are not.

Your fan favorite is one if the only airguns that I really regret buying! 😂 _I just don't have any use for it and often pick a better rifle just because._ Isn't the one that you refer as @ BAM b3 a B5? (Is there any B4 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 b1-b2-b3-?-b5 ) I mainly shot springers with a few pumpers and co2 on the side but I just got sent a PCP to review for Airgunarcheryfun and id sure like to keep it haha _All airguns matters._

You don’t like your Bam B3? I’ve had viewers asking me if I want to sell mine. I bet you could make some money putting it on eBay. They don’t appear to be very common. Pretty cool you got a gun to review, nice!
@airgunsofalaska Жыл бұрын
I just did search on it and found a forum thread talking about it. Looks like it might be called a B5-1? I don’t know? There is an airgun blog site that calls it a B-3. I bought it probably around 20 years ago so if I got a manual it’s long lost.

@@airgunsofalaska nah mine is a b2-2-177 ! The rifle is a bit sloppy itself but the ironic part is that it had the best fiber optics of all of the rifles ive tried yet 😁 I am still unsure of if the piston seal is leather or not but the breech seal is. Mine says 450fps on the box 😟🇨🇦

Nibs had a cheap vevor compressor on his channel
@airgunsofalaska Жыл бұрын
I think I watched that one? I’ll have to check, it may have been a different channel. A couple weeks ago I watched one review and the compressor was quite loud and had some other negative issues. I don’t remember what brand it was? While the PCP is super nice, it’s almost too high performance for my range and can make things too easy. I’ve got enough yard for a longer range but I wouldn’t be protected from the rain so I’m pretty content with what I have. I’ve got a bunch of silhouette targets that are quite challenging at 50 yds. It’s weird, but for some reason I gravitate towards my cheaper guns. I don’t know why? Those are the ones I shoot the most.

@@airgunsofalaska i understand it’s like driving a tesla with the expensive air guns and the daisy is a old corvette. Much more fun 👍😉

@@Relaxbadkneeadventures Yes 👍, I’ve noticed the same thing in my other hobbies, especially motor sports. More often than not, the more expensive, the more high performance the machine becomes, the less fun it can be in most riding areas. It’ll certainly excel at certain things but loses the ability to have appeal over a broad range of riding areas. I guess a generalist machine is usually more enjoyable than a specialist machine.
