@@Bemx2k not necessarily, that’s not always true. With powder burners some of the smaller lighter stuff is more accurate over a distance due to its velocity

The barrel twist rate was too slow when I was shooting slugs. Anything over 800fps would cause it to have flyers like shotgun peppering. I tried Patriot, JSB, FX, Zan, H&N & a few others & it would not group tight for me past 50 yards. With pellets, it shot decent. I may have to try boat tail slugs which work well with lower twist rates. If I can't use the power with slugs to get it into the 900s in a nice group I'm going to sell it. I may have a bad barrel who knows. Anyway, nice shooting as always Nate. I haven't had any luck with the AEA airguns.

Neilson slugs will make you happy with it👍 I hate shooting pellets myself because you have to shoot them slow😷 I shoot Neilson heavy slugs out of all of mine👍👍

@@natbeach8141 I got this rifle strictly as a dedicated slug gun and it is .25 cal. It’s accurate and will get around 95 - 100 ft lbs with consistent accuracy. I also own FX and RTI air rifles but I’m going to the AEA Pro for long range Varmint hunting. Good shooting.

@@stevensmith6483 I also have the .25 pro and it loves Zans .250 41 grain hp cup base slugs. It's running 1009 fps and still shoots 1 moa and holds its own with my Huben and FX Wildcat. I tried other slugs that it didn't like at that speed so went higher fps with no help and slowed them down to find that matched speed. I tried the heavier boat tails which did pretty good but could only get about 1 1/2 moa so switched to the Zans 41 grain hp with the cup base and bam 1 moa again and again. Lol....rambling about it.

What would be your honest opinion of the AEA challenger pro as far as for long range shooting. You think it’s accurate at 150 yard or better? It definitely has the power but for some reason when I look at it I have seconds thought even tho for the price you won’t find a more powerful rifle.

You need to set that trigger at 3lb think of cold and gloves 1 1/2 to soft, take aim on inhale shoot on exhale that would improve your shots greatly

I have not tried slugs yet. I would try ZAN...one box of each size. Then order more when you get the right slug. Airgun Nation forum is a good place to ask about speeds and slug types.

Yeah...changing out that gong for a heavier one. Kind of sick of that ringing noise in the videos...a lower pitch one would be OK. Moving 3/8 in steel plates is not fun though! That's why I switched to thinner steel. May annoy some people though.

Love your videos, they are VERY detailed and great review content.. I must say, I cringe every time I see you banging on the spanner nut (buttstock locking nut) with a hammer and screwdriver.. that's gonna mar it.. a spanner nut wrench can be had for about $8 on Amazon.. you're a professional airgun KZbinr these days.. get one of those bad boys.. it'll definitely help you change out buttstocks on guns quicker and a little safer (and less jarring) than the hammer and screwdriver method.. lol Also comes in handy if you own an AR-15 or any tactical rifle.. or ever plan to buy one..
