In this video, I teach the audience how to tune an electronic Daystate airgun step-by-step. This Daystate Redwolf/Safari tuning guide video teaches everything one needs to know in order to successfully tune an airgun, air rifle, or pellet gun utilizing Daystate's electronic GCU (Gun Control Unit). I discuss specifics voltage & pulse width (the GCU equivalent airgun hammer spring adjustment and airgun regulator pressure adjustment), as well share the philosophies & approach on how to bring the two into balance with one another, producing harmonious airgun shot strings. I drive a old analog sports car because it gives me more satisfaction. With Airguns it is the same, i like my RTI and Airmaks but shooting the HW77 accurate is more of a challenge and more fun.

Im a car nut, I have an M5 and a Tesla Plaid. The Plaid hits 60mph in about 2.2 sec real world, the M5 is at 3 sec. The variability and theater of the twin-turbo v8 is MUCH more satisfying than my Plaid. Applies here too, I respect the tech and will even get one at some point but I love the analog aspect my PCPs. After a year and a half of issues and pellet and slug testing, if you are experiencing accuracy issues that seem unexplainable, Try the .217's, I couldn't buy a group with the 218's thousands of pellets shot and hours of testing, My friend accidentally ordered some barracuda matches in the .217 and he hated them and my gun loves them, also the 217 knockouts are lights out. I tried every weight and shape out there and was just about to either smash or sell this gun and now after a year and a half, I even sent my scope out to get looked at because my groups made no sense, and it was driving me crazy. Finally, I have what I paid for.

Oh man, that Daystate is gorgeous, AND. it's a 177 !!! I love that .177 aren't going anywhere, like some where speculating a year ago that it's a dying caliber. I can't believe how clean those patches were after over a thousand shots. I wonder if in 10 years even a $500 air rifle will be computerized ? EDIT : My Gawd, $3k ! That's 10 times the price of a Gauntlet, but from two different planets !!! If I hope to win any contest besides winning a car, would be THIS.

Cheers for a brilliant show👍 I hope one day you get hold of a delta wolf and do the same work😁 I love my Daystate and I am so glad to see a positive review on a electronic gun I also have normal airguns but really like the easy tuning of the electronic one and in the field I can swop from a 26g pellet to a 33g slug in seconds, with a ATN on top with the 6 programme settings, it's like having 2 guns out with you for different job's, works well for me 👍👍👍

They have had this kind of tech in paintball guns almost 20 years ago I'm really surprised it took this long for them to apply It to air rifles, now someone needs to apply this text to a select fire / full auto rifle, with the paintball guns the rate of fire was insane I think the same kind of setup in a 30 cal would be unbelievable

The display light can be adjusted, off, 15 sec, always on The always on will tie in with the sleep timer setting options of 15mins, 30mins, or 4 hrs

The plug is a UK one ( European plugs are different !) Yes Daystate should include a US style plug but maybe it’s us Brits getting our own back for US kit coming with a US plug 😉
