Hi Miss Angie, You may already know this or somebody has already mentioned it, but Steve Shalie (may not be spelled right) AEAC Vlog has done a tuning guide for the Air Venturi Avenger .22 cal. At least the info from the tuning guide midget give you a reference point to start from. Also the port the air goes through to shoot the pellet in the 25 cal is bigger than the one in the 22 cal. I’ve watched all the videos on this I can find. I love watching your videos. It’s good to have women willing to do videos and be active in airgunning. Thanks

I have the avengers in 22 and 25 cal, my regs are set @ 2700 and on my 22 the hammer spring is turned in 2 and a half turns in and the 25, 3 and a half turns in I usually fill them to 4000 psi and I get 50-55 shots in 22 and 32-36 shots before it goes off the reg. My 22 is shooting @ 965-972 fps and the 25 is shooting @ 898-915 fps. Now those guns are pretty easy and simple to tune. My headache is my FX Crown continnum 22 cal. Between the reg, the port, the hammer spring and then the internal hammer spring settings, and then the different pellets, makes that gun a lot of fun to play with and shoot. (Got to do the same thing over when I get the 25 cal barrel kit) lol but I LOVE AIR GUNNING !!!

You're right, mine is set pretty high out of the box as well. I need to do a test like you just did, it seems to be pretty accurate, it shoots well for me to 130 yards, I mean I call it good popping a water bottle at 120 and 130 yards good. It did seem as though it was falling off the reg fast, which I figured it would, but I was running at 3000 psi, I've never run mine with 4350 in the tank yet. I get four good mags out of it at 3000 with an avg of 908 fps over the first mag, the others do drop and I swear I never thought about it, I'm used to shooting unregulated guns so I know the holdover on all four mags, I was happy with it, the damn things not even running on the reg most of my shots and I just shoot away. I've got to top it off or at least see how it acts with about 4000 psi in the tank. I gave mine a paint job, I like it even more now, lol.

Back reg off to 2400 and turn hammer spring up 1 turn. Great Vid Angie
@casecracka67704 жыл бұрын
would you do the same on the .22 model? 2400 and 1 turn on hammer spring? when you say turn the hammer up do you mean 1 turn clockwise?
@OutdoorsWithJoe4 жыл бұрын
@@casecracka6770 yes one turn clockwise. Should be about the same for 22 if not it’s a good starting point

@@casecracka6770 I've not had the pleasure of testing the .22, I believe you could probably bring it down to about 21-2,200 from what I hear, like I said I don't know personally. As far as the hammer spring yes I mean clockwise turn to turn it up.

Did you get around to measuring the pellet speed in the 25 grain for comparison with the 33-grain pellets?

Would the 36 or 38 grain eigun pellets work.

Mine likes between 2400 and 2600 on reg Hard to tell on Gauge what it is exactly Thanks good Video And this thing has plenty power ! I'll power it up in couple mths see what it really has !?
@airgunangie174 жыл бұрын
Sweet thanks! It definitely has plenty of power! I had it maxed at 2,900-3,000 PSI and was getting the same velocity at 2,300-2,400 PSI after that, I believe you're just wasting air.

Let me add this point, Not trying to be funny or mean, BUT THOSE ARE MY GUNS, meaning it depends on your gun, and you the shooter because every gun shoots different even if they are both the same caliber and model. (IJS)
