Ok so now that Alternative Timelines (AT) has been introduced, let's discuss how the fanon multiverse works. The core universe is the original Undertale with their different timelines (pacifist, neutral and genocide) that you can play. An alternative timeline describes a timeline with starts in the original universe, but the story diverges at some point. Most of the time, it's because some outside force that makes these changes (the player's action or a character that can travel between the timelines). You are already pretty familliar with an AT story, Glitchtale. An alternative universe or AU is a different universe that was based on Undertale. Most can have their own pacifist, neutral or genocide endings, or even alternative timelines. In the show all the AUs are represented by a piece of paper in the Doodle sphere. It is canon that we the fans create the AUs. Some dimensions are outside of this structure of the multiverse. For example the anti-void where Error usually hangs out, or the Omega Timeline, where Core!frisk takes the people they save.

The grey area for me is for example Red or other OC's where it's still the original cast but there is no tampering with the timelines

He is just traumatized and super tired because of how things work in his universe. people are literally murdered in front of their eyes, Papyrus (who in this AU is the head of the Royal Guard) is basically the strongest monster in the underground not counting Asgore. Sans is one of the weakest monsters in the underground, he isnt dead just because he is Papyrus's brother, otherwise, he would have been killed a long time ago I actually dont know if this is the deal with Underfell's timeline in Underverse, since it's the fanon Underfell version that comes from the AU Community (canon Underfell was made by Underfella)

Congratulations on finishing season 1 of Underverse! Next up is the XTale series, and I have a few recommendations for watching it. First, it might be better to watch the movie version rather than the separate episode versions. For one, there's an extra credits sequence that wasn't in the original, along with many grammar fixes to the dialogue. Additionally, many of the XTale episodes are really short, so the movie version would make it easier to watch multiple in one session. The movie version also uses KZbin's chapters feature, so you can see what episode you're on. Adding onto that, I would suggest watching it in about 20-minute chunks of episodes, which would be XTale 0-4, then 5-7, then 8-9, and finally the 35-minute long XTale 10 and the additional credits sequence. There's also an XTale comic that elaborates more in what happens in XTale 10, since the last episode goes through some important plot points kind of quickly that were already covered in the comic.

Jael's choice of using Killer in favor of Dust and Horror doesn't seem like a coincidence, 'cause he has several parallels with Cross. Both were possessed by their Chara, albeit in different ways. They're also both really fluffy too. A couple of interesting things about Killer, he actually has a split personality, being either... well, Killer, or pretty much just Sans. I think his comic actually introduced the idea of Nightmare having "bad" Sanses work for him. Killer actually canonically left, with help from Color!Sans.

Killer is seen more with Nightmare as that is more "canon" than Dust and Horror appearing with him. the same thing goes for Error, which people also have them work together on some fan comics and fan fiction, while in canon, Error doesn't even like Nightmare (even if he did, he prefers to work alone, just like Jakei pictured in 0.4)

The thing is that we expected error to do evil things, thats like his thing. Plus, dispite what he did being horrible, he didn't do anything directl6 to the main characters that we care about during the show. Ink on the other hand, who was supposed to be the one helping stop all this, did a sudden betrayal which screwed over everyone, including the sans trio, xchara, error, and more. It also didn't help that ink had no empathy for the ones Error destroyed either. (Im aware he had no emotions at the time)

You misunderstood killer. When he said “your original version” he meant the chara from undertale. Basically, Killer was able to remember every timeline, and chara continuously kept doing genocide, over and over, making him truly stop caring due to insanity. One reset, chara approached him with the idea that he help them kill, to feel something, anything. Killer then started assisting them in their genocides, eventually getting EXP and his own brand of determination. Now he kills to feel things. He finally felt, “Something new”

Just to note a few things: when Killer was talking about Cross Chara's "original self", he means the original Chara from the original universe. Also, Error called Fell Anomaly #13, because one: he calls everyone anomalies, and because Fell is from timeline #13 of underfell.

Jakei changed the design to match her own style, it was a creative desicion, nothing to do with the story. - 29:00 No no no! Killer is talking about the original Undertale Chara from his own universe. - 40:58 Error calls many characters "Anomaly". He himself is "Anomaly #1", Fell!Sans is "Anomaly #13" and Swap!Sans is "Anomaly #11". - Also, that last part of the credits is the afterwards of the ending. After everyone was gone, Nightmare tried to take back Cross because of their contract, but Dream helped Cross and they both escaped to the Omega Timeline. So Nightmare and Killer have some unfinished business with them for Season 2.

Although i love this show, I do have a gripe with how messy the story of the series gets. Since the rules of this universe are not that well set in stone, it leads to a lot of "he can do that" or "why did that work" type moments, where you cant really guess how certain things affect certain characters because the rules they are bound to are not necessarily changing i think but leave wayyy too much room for interpretation and in turn lead to a lot of plot convenience/general confusion moments. With stuff like the overwrite button and the way souls work, you cant really ever say "oh thats why x worked on y" , since the ever fluctuating rules dont allow it, the plot has to tell you whats going on. That being said, it kinda just proves how good all of the other components of this show are, since i can look past the kingdom hearts storytelling and just apreciate the characters, music , shot composition and animation, all of which are absolutely excelent. Jakey and nick have created something amazing here, something that il continue to follow for as long as it airs.

It was 0.3 *PART 2.* The intro already was in part 1! You seem to have forgotten, but Core!Frisk is a “they”, not a “she”. Somewhere at 29:00 : Killer is talking about his version of Chara. “The original you” as in, the Chara from original Universe. Which is Undertale. It *does* sound a bit weird. But calm down, man, not literally everything has to do with Overwrite. Goddammit. Stop messing up Chara’s and Cross’s names! Dx Hooray! I had total faith that *you* would watch the credits fight-scene. Pretty much every single reactor always completely ignored it for some reason, and that was just infuriating! But.. I knew you were indeed awesomely thorough C: Now you just have to pay attention to the season 2 outro, and I’ll be forever happy :D… And finally… your entire conclusion is absolutely perfect! This was truly therapeutic after seeing so many people barely comprehend even the basic plot of this series😅 Can’t wait for XTale! Ink being so terrifying as a character... Imagine not having true emotions of your own an be ready to do anything to feel, then stop taking your medication so you could do terrible things without feeling remorse because you were bored, yet still planing to take your medication again to feel regret and stop the terrible things you done, until you get bored again and begin a new cycle. It's fascinating but when Error start to look as the good like... Yep, that's proof you messed up. Even if Error is very interesting in its own way, a manifestation of people who want to stic to the main canon without all the fandom ideas blooming in, 'cause let's be honest, it can produced the worst. I realize I probably never got over 0.4 and Xtale so I have no idea what happens after that point. Will be nice to discover it with you. I love that last singing scene with Cross fighting alongside Dream. I love how Error was took down in a second while being able to put Nightmare on edge when he destroyed all those AUs. It's very interesting to see all their interactions and dynamics, while Fresh in just on the side line doing his own thing, terrifying everone else x)

We have au(alternative universes) and at(alternative timelines) In alternative universes we have for example:dreamtale,underfell,underswap,xtale Those are histories that have the same characters but in a different world,for example What if all the characters are edgy,or what if the characters change roles Then we have alternative timelines,for example:error sans,killer sans,dust sans,geno An alternative timeline is what we see in the actual game,pacifist rute,neutral rute,and genocide rute,they are part of the same universe,but some things can change,what if after hundred or tousands of genoside rutes,sans suddently gets memories from all the timelines and realices that to defeat the murderous human,he needs to star killing his oun family and friends to stop the genocide routes,what if after a genocide route the demon that was helping the human actualy starts helping you And after that we can have both a the same time,an alternative timeline of an alternative universe,for example,flowerfell,dustswap, dustbeliefe Alternative universes in wich somthing abruptly modified all the suceses in the universe,a different timeline of an alternative universe

I was in tears of happiness and excitement after I watch this fight for the first time years ago. And it will forever be my favorite fight ever since I first saw it. Plus, I have been a Ink sans roleplayer in years so is of course more easier for me to understand how Ink is thinking through all of this. I’m looking forward for you watching the XTale serie! Think of the Overwrite button as Admin mode. It literally lets him do anything, including changing the world itself to be how he sees fit. XTale is going to hit you where it hurts

Well not anything, but nearly anything. For example, he probably couldn't kill the Fresh parasite because it is pretty much unaffected by any code related abilities, for the most part. Think of it like Minecraft commands, you can do almost anything, but the owners of Minecraft could still ban you.

The black of the heart wasn’t bleeding. XGaster has half of a human soul to give him the DETERMINATION for his experiment. But in his current state, he has to use up the human soul to maintain a form. Also, the Killer Sans lore is that Character infected Sans instead of Frisk in that Alternate Timeline and sent him into a genocide run. And Sans’s “tension” in most cases is worrying about Frisk causing a RESET.

Killer sans is basically a sans who remembered every time Chara did a genocide, and eventually didn't really care until Chara did the deal with him, and at that point he felt something new, and he took it. That's how I remember it, but it was a while since I looked at the something new AU. That's what he meant by the whole original Chara thing, he literally meant the original Chara. Also, I feel like Core Frisk could be strong if they went through the multiverse and found out how certain events happened in all the AU's, and copied it, like how Nightmare became Nightmare.
