Just wanted to mention that he was time right about needing pain receptors. Some people don't have them and they sometimes chew off their fingers without realizing it.

... and now I have that image in my head. Oh dear God where's brain bleach when I need it. Also, isn't pain tied into General sensory perception as well? I'm not quite sure how that relates to just general touch. Exactly something I've studied (I passed biology in college by the skin of my teeth).

Somewhere in the comments of that video points out that Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon’s original Japanese name is “Makankōsappō” (魔貫光殺砲), which means “Demonic Piercing Light Murder Gun”........ I think we all agree that that is in fact pretty fuckin metal

It... was not adapted well. They made it far too kid friendly compared to the manga. I mean it is okay for the first 120 episodes or so, but then it starts to veer off the source material way too much, and the finale just makes you want to die. The worst part is, due to its cancellation, the anime never gets into the TRUE OVER THE TOP EPICNESS, that people remember it for. Overall, I suggest reading the manga first, but I wouldn't mind seeing your reaction to the anime :P
