@@hybridvenom9 No? The special fonts only skeletons can understand are called ciphers. I don't remember exactly when, but it was said very explicitly. Nothing about this has the slightest connection to gravity falls other than the word "cipher" being part of bills name.

We all know what expression papyrus must have been looking at gaster with after that little outburst. Papyrus isn’t dumb I’m pretty sure he figured out who gaster was blaming in his story was himself, and gaster as shown cannot handle someone being sorry for him here and destroying his worldview ughhhhhh I love handplates so much

Gaster's old cellphone is not a sign to the comic's age. Monster technology is behind human technology since they get their tech from trash thrown away by humans. Undertale itself didn't come out until after cellphones with antenna were already old.

I always thought the cooking scene was weirdly sincere. If you just ignore the context, ignore all of the horrible things Gaster has, it could just be a dad letting his kids experiment with cooking for the first time. All presumably because Gaster didn't plan ahead and overslept. He would NEVER have done this otherwise.

2:35 thing is, this actualy can work to make them stop. There is multiple stories out yere about kids who at one point snapped, and just stopped reacting to the beating. No more crying and begging, they just took it. And it horrified the parents so much they stopped. Not the best methods at all of course (litteraly needing to break ypur kids to realize...) but it's something that can work... (sometimes they don't stop because they're horrified at what they've done, they're just annoyed that it doesn't seem to work anonymor.)

I gonna say man, when I was watching handplates myself, while it was interesting, I was well deep in the Undertale comics rabit hole and handplates while long indeed, was just one of many. But through your eyes, watching it again, experiencing it again, I see what incredibly well done series it was. Starbot/Calysto and the other voice actors have done such an incredible job, the comics creator has done such a wonderful job, and thanks to you I get to see it anew. Some reactors like to just sit and watch, laugh at the right places, look sad at the sad moments and they depend on the video itself to bring in the views, the subs, the likes and shares. YOU on the other hand LIVE through those moments, you give your opinions, your commentary and you share funny moments about the topic yourself (I'm at similar skill level in the kitchen😅) Stay strong man, and watch the whole thing, otherwise I will have to find some other reactor to have closure on the series, and I don't wanna switch when I already invested my time in you.

In Undertale colors, purple/violet tends toward "Perseverance." Perhaps not in every fan comic, but that's generally what Undertale fans recognize it as.

"Stardbot dubs did a great job covering this" - Good sir. I think you MEAN "Zarla did a great job writing and drawing this". Stardbot dubs notably make alterations to her story that in part take away from the intended experience. And it's Zarla's hard work that provided us with this story. As fun as it is to see a well made comic dub, giving credit to only the dub team but not the actual creator does not feel right. - I can't tell you, as a longtime fan of Handplates, how MANY TIMES throughout it's life I've seen people find her work absolutely SHOCKED that there was more to it and this particular dub wasn't the end of it or that there were several things missing from this adaption.

1) Gaster can't be understood by non-skeleton monsters unless he uses sign language while he speaks, thus in most scenes not involving Sans and Papyrus you'll see his magic hands doing sign near him. Sometimes he uses his actual hands but mostly he uses the magic ones to communicate. 2) I feel like you should praise the creator of the comic, Zarla, as well. Starbot dubs did do some brilliant acting but the writing is all Zarla. Gaster and Asgore are meant to be direct mirrors of each other, 'good' people who have convinced themselves to do truly awful things for 'the greater good.' Starbot dubs cut some panels to make Gaster seem colder and maniacal, so it's less obvious here but something to keep in mind in the future. 3) In Handplates, purple eye glowing signifies fear, but in that emotional scene San's eye lit up a pink-ish color which Zarla says signifies platonic love/affection. Briefly, Green = Happiness, Pink= surprise/embarassment, White= shocked or zoned out skelies, Yellow= stress/fear, Purple= fear/helplessness, Red= pain, and multiple or rapidly shifting colors indicate that the skeleton is freaking out.
