Y'know, the way Gaster was talking was really giving "I'm going to go soon." vibes.. and thats kinda tragic. Hes usually so stoic and keeping things to himself and stuff, and hes just like being heartfelt at that moment, and that feels like something. Idk how to word this, you get it? Idk lol

One of the things I admire most about this series is how the author pays attention to all the details from the original Undertale game, and makes connections by giving them context and matching the details to certain themes. Like, Sans' casual nihilism from his boss battle, and Paparus' optimism that anyone can be good if they try (his exact wording when he tries to convince the player to abandon the Genocide route). So it doesn't just "feel" in-character, it is completely, 100% in-character for everyone. It's awesome.

gaster uses his hands to sign to people! they can't understand wingdings, so whenever he talks to people he uses the blue hands to sign! except for sans and papyrus he just talks in wingdings to them. (this is important later!!)

The bit you're talking about at 2:30, with the needing to keep doing things otherwise it means he made the wrong choice and it can't be wrong thing...Zarla actually made a four-panel comic of exactly this sentiment. It shows Asgore and Alphys peering into a pit from above, saying "What are you doing?!" then shows Gaster at the bottom of the pit shoveling desperately saying "I don't know!" then back up to Asgore and Alphys saying "Then stop!" and the back to Gaster continuing to dig saying "I can't!"

I really love handplates, it's sad and heartbreaking in some parts and so full of bittersweet hope for a better future that _[SPOILERS AHEAD]: __-Is finally achieved-__ [END OF SPOILER]_ I just love the emotions that it awakens in me, I'm not really in touch with my own feeling for a multitude of reasons, most of the time in my day-to-day life I don't even know what I am feeling or if I am feeling something to begin with, I'm working on it. But Handplates is one of the few pieces of media that is able to break through and cause emotion, a raw piece of pain mostly overwritten by joy, the joy of feeling something after a long time. I know, kinda weird. The point is, I love handplates. Other pieces of media that have made me feel things and I reccomend in no particular order to whoever read this and wants to have a mental breakdown are: • Omori: yes. If you know, you know. A Rollercoaster of emotions with a crash and burn at the end. Its a rpg type game with a story, I know it looks dumb and may appear just like edgy garbage on the outside, but you don't know. *_you don't know what this actually is_* . I swear to god is *so* good that I actually want to cry writing this, you *NEED*, NEEEEEEEEED to give it a try on your own. The feels man, the feels. (If you want to see a playtrough of someone that will get attached to the characters and laugh and cry with you _[maybe even more than you]_ I reccomend the omori playthrough in the channel "AsterKatt" [or something along the lines] ) • Undertale: Don't need to explain it, everyone here knows what I'm talking about. Its a pretty good game with a weird fandom. I loved it the most when I was a young teen. It just holds a special place in my heart. • Flowey is not a good life coach: *_MY GOD_* . I cannot describe to you just how much I loved this stupid fanfic. And you know the best part? IT'S WELL WRITTEN, OH MY GOD ITS SO WELL WRITTEN I WANT TO BURY MY HEAD IN THE SAND AND NEVER COME OUT AGAIN. Probably the best fanfic ever written in the whole Undertale community. Literally, I'm not even joking. Even if you are not into undertale, it's just so good man. It's so good it can stand on it's own. Even so, I recommend knowing undertale lore before going into it, specially the one related to flowey and save files in the past, just to get some context. Oh, and the feels? *_I bawled my eyes out of their sockets._* And that's a statement if we are talking about me. THE TENSION, THE DRAMA, THE JOKES, THE SUSPENSE, THE TRAGEDY, THE ACTION, _OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD_ . (This one eve has a dub here in youtube and a comic that goes up to chapter 7, you can start listening to the dub starting fron chapter 8 after you're done with the comic, wich is dubbed here too! As "A thorn on my side" in (I think) a channel called "Callisto") • The last guardian: Game, puzzles, and the big flying dog called Trico. Great graphics, my dad and I cried a lot in the finale, very beautiful. A great memory and an amazing experience. Personally I liked the gameplay from the spanish youtuber "ZellenDos", I think it's the best one, but if you don't understand spanish everything might fly above your head haha. If you like puzzles and getting attached to gigant flying dogs, I recomend it. Ehem... • Fran bow: Alright, HEAR ME OUT, I WAS 12, LEAVE ME ALONE, I HAD A BLACK CAT WICH I LOVED WITH MY SOUL. This is a list of things that made me feel stuff okay!!?? MY LIST MY RULES. You can skip this one, but it's just a fun game if you like point and clicks. No difficulty. This one is actually edgy tho- • Every single deep dive from super eye patch wolf: I just think they're interesting and worthy of a watch, they scratch the ich of curiosity! And... he's insane! It's great! Go watch him! • 1000 years: Ilustrated book, it's about a bunch of people centuries appart writing their own stories in this ancient and lost civilization in an island/volcano, every protagonist reveals a little more of the story, culture, traditions, government, religion and the evolution of every one of these in the thousand years it takes place at, THE TRAGEDY, THE PAIN, THE COMEDY! THE SHOUT-OUTS TO PAST PRTAGONISTS!! THE WEIRD ASS CIVILIZATION WITH THEIR WEIRD ASS MISANDRIC BLOOD GOD! Yeah some parts are a bit edgy- THE DRAWINGS!! THE FIFTH PROTAGONIST! oh my. The feels. Wait. Oh wait. I'm the one writting that last one. It isn't even out yet, Oh well. It will be! At some point- I just need to finish it. I'm really enjoying the ride to be honest, it's the thing that keeps me going, just so much emotion packed in one. Anyway! honestly, i never thoug Gaster was trying to create artificial souls to break the barrier, i always thoug he was trying to create Bioweapons to destroy the barrier. Cause that pretty much what Sanas and papayrus are here, bioweapons, constructs that resemble monsters with the same properties and powers as the donner of the genetic material. Artificial monsters enhanced by the procediurs of ghaster to try and make them powerfull enougth to break the barrier and posible erradicate as much humans as posible as he probably asumes that a war will ensure the moment they break out of theirr prison.
