I believe it's called "hard damage" or something like that and it basicaly the opposite of grey life in a fighting game, it's a type of damage that also the caps your total HP for a few seconds and you can't recover from it by being showered in blood, all you can do is just wait until the effect wears off.

The drill is actually useful, especially if you’re fighting a boss you’re not good at. It constantly showers fresh blood, which heals you. However, it is a lot less damage than the others, so most opt not to use it later.

Azur Lane is a pretty good game with a complicated and intricate lore filled with time travel, aliens and most importantly of all collabs with World of Warships. They also do their aniversary livestreams on actual military ships.

Yes Azur Lane does let you marry “children”. It is a mechanic called Oathing which raises their stats, sometimes gives them a new skin and lets you rename them. The children is in quotation marks because they are Kansen, a race of… bio mechanical ship girls iirc, all of which are canonically linked to the ships they are named after and even remember the last moments of each ship. It’s weird, and complicated. I will say for the record I have not and never will Oath one of the child looking Kansen simply because I am not interested in it and, like any normal person, think it’s weird. Do not look at the comments section of any Kansen, there’s…there’s a lot to unpack with the fans that actually use the comments. I have basically only Oathed the Ara Ara Onee-san types, AKA the really mature and curvy ones because I have a type and Azur Lane has a lot of Kansen that tick my boxes. Like Washington, Musashi, Atago etc. Just do as I do and ignore or report the weirdos and look at the pretty lights as Kansen fight to the death on your screen. 6:25 sorry I’m answering it anyway. 27:46 Max0r takes the phrase “You are your own worst critic” and dials it up to 11. Man literally looks at his pasts videos and absolutely despised every single one of them because they aren’t good enough. He has this *need* for every video to live up to his expectations and every time he looks back on a video he thinks is good at the time he posted it, he sees flaws nobody else can even devote the brain power to noticing and each time he’s driven to make the next video better than the last. You can really see his editing get more and more psychotic each video, because he’ll look at the last one and think “I can do better than this” and then prove himself right each time but also disappoint himself because he always thinks “I can do so much better than this”

Humans made op machines run on blood for some big ol' war, which ended way faster than anyone expected and resulted in a state of complete peace and harmony. V2 was one of the robots built to keep the peace, but all of the reserve murderbots remained. Humanity "mysteriously" dies but not before making all of these level shafts while tunneling through hell. This gives the now blood-starved walking genocides a chance to try, fail and maybe succeed getting in on that hell blood. Also fun fact the polygonal graphics are explained by the efficient but low fidelity cameras installed in most machines like V1(protagonist[also sounds like "The One". Coincidence?]).

Rata’s video would explain ALL the stuff that’s confusing you. The only voice acting in the game is Gabriel, Max0r managed to get the same voice actor to do Gabriel’s voice for this video. (that VA also voiced Senator Armstrong in Max0r’s MGR: Revengeance video) The railgun has separate modes. Basic, explosive shot, and the drill which is a damage-over-time effect that also gives you health regen as long as you’re close to the enemy who got hit. Because “Blood is fuel” and an enemy being drilled is spraying blood everywhere. There is a secret level which will put you in a scene that looks like it’s from a Japanese dating sim visual novel, except the girl will start making nihilistic commentary. And at a point, instead of being given choices, you instead start VERY SPECIFICALLY denying her statements, proving her “life is meaningless” views wrong, and changing her entire worldview. Apparently the developer had problems with existential dread and put that segment in with some of the things he learned and thought about that helped him come to grips with it.
