Loving your work and attention to detail. A buckets list build for me is a Super Bug with a water cooled motor and it was great to see the inside of the tunnel and the possibility of running coolant lines through there. Not the greatest for heat dissipation but it'd look SO clean.

You guys are killing it with all these detailed videos. I just recently came across your channel and I’m so glad to see that somebody is taking the old VW pans and remanufacturing them. You’re videos show that your workmanship is incredible. Thank you for giving a guy who wants to build his own kit car the ability of putting a brand-new chassis underneath.

wonderful job, I just whish that that car is not intended to to be driven on salty roads because the reinforcement plug welded on the tunnel cover plate creates a rust encapsuling area.

That laser cut plate you welded to the bottom is going to be a great rust trap once moisture gets behind it.
@AirkewldVWs2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Krusher. In all actuality, there is three layers of powder coat that filled any gaps that were there so no moisture will actually get it. We thought of that and made sure before we started assembling.

I thought you were going to have the conduit come out on the passenger side of the Napolean hat (vs the suspension side) so you wouldn't see any wiring in front of the body under the hood from outside the car. Did I misunderstand or did plans have to change? Just curious. Love the work. Gorgeous!

I am looking at redoing my chassis And moving the welded braces they added to my shortened pan inside the tunnel. What gauges of metal did you use for the spine? I noticed you welded side to side across the spine was that for notched contour? Will be ordering pan halfs Friday thanks for the awesome content and help.
