This is the correct way to shorten the pan. With a frame jig that was made for it by these fabricators. I’ve seen way too many Manx buggy‘s that have been shortened and butchered. The pan ends up with a big twist in it and the welds are hideous. People are spending way too much money on these Manx buggy‘s that are done wrong. This place does them right. Excellent work I must say. I myself am a fabricator and I know good work when I see it

Your work is second to none. I wish I had your talent. I own a 73 Thing. I wish I could find a way for you guys to go through it and make it new again, stock for the most part but changes that don't show....engine etc. I will keep watching your videos and learning.

That is awesome work. I wish I would have seen you video a long time ago. I have shortened 2 we chassis , never that good. I built a hunting buggy with all the stuff I had left over. Cleaned out my garage, built a buggy. My latest gets a lot of use out in the woods. It's a combination of super beetle chassis ct 14 inches in the front. Bug front grafted on. Shifter and pedals moved back. Then changed the rear suspention, used Empi spring plates, home brewed adapters. I'm using a 59 bus trans axles.adapters for bvb the reduction gear boxes. I had the front spindles lengthened 3 in. Gain some altitude. I could use a raised front axle...loved your craftmanship. Awesome.
