Absolutely the best beginners guide for the Air 2S. Have got through multiple tutorials and got more confused from their instructions. In many cases they talk about a button and may have pressed it but it was done too quickly or their fingers blurred the movement.. Your use of the pencil is ideal. You also explain more and how to make many of the adjustments. Great job!!!.

I wish I saw this video first!!! I bought a new DJI air 2s with smart controller yesterday and found a different Chanel first. Terrible, it was shot as you already knew everything. I liked how you went over everything, I learned what all the parts were, even how to turn the machine on! No one tells you about the double press. TWO THINGS TO ADD: 1) If you change out the control cable from remote to phone, there appears to be a polarity where the end of cable labeled with the 'remote sticks' is the one to plug into left side facing the top of remote. 2) Also the 'DJI dance' to calibrate compass would have been good to do on the 1st flight. Very good and concise video, thank you!

I want to thank you very much for this video. I’ve had a DJI trunk before one of the phantom models. And I recently last year purchased DGI mini. Tomorrow I will be receiving a DGI mini 2S. Hint: Before you follow the set-up procedures shown here, make sure the controller and battery(s) are fully charged. Both seem to take considerable time, at least initially. Great video, thanks.

After a full day of going around in circles unsuccessfully following online instructions to make the drone link with the controller, I finally happened on your above video only to find we were using the wrong phone cable. This isn't mentioned anywhere else. Replaced with the correct (Android) cable and voila! Finally got the pairing done Brilliantly clear step-by-step instructions. Having been an instructor of sophisticated software for university level students I can't praise your teaching style enough. Succinct delivery of info, pacing (no time to get distracted) and no cheesy music!! I learned so much in a very short time. I'm new to drones but you have removed the edge. My DJI Air 2S will arrive soon and I will be watching much more of your content. My only question: is this drone software (info) able to offer choices in imperial as opposed to metric. It would be hard to convert in my head. Thank you!!

Yes and I'm sure by now amazed at the features in the DJI FLY app! I was blown away just by the app alone on my Mavic Mini! The Mini2 even more and the Mavic Air2 adds even more. What really impressed me was the AIS I think it's called. A aircraft receiver. Detects Manned Aircraft. Picks up their beacon and gives you a voice warning along with a banner on the screen. Just click on the map and it zooms out to show the aircrafts position and direction of travel! So how you like it?

Sean, I echo other folk's high praise for your video. My only thought for future videos is instead of using a pointer when talking about the information on the display, blow up a picture and use arrows to indicate what it is you are talking about. You used that technique at times times during this video and the information was much clearer than when using the pointer. That said, in terms of teaching, your video was excellent. Just the right amount of information for a beginner to handle. I know, because I am a beginner!

@@SinCityFamily. it is normal when solid green lights in front red solid lights in rear. Rear lights flash yellow when doing drone updates. Your drone may need calibration, or software update for first time out of the box.

Very nice! Perfect for the Beginner! As a GA Pilot it’s important to do as much training as you can before that first Flt. I found your video extremely helpful setting up this new Drone especially the software updates very nice 👍🏻 I really like the fact that the software provides information on where the Drone is Able to fly. I used to worry about drone Strikes in the early days of Drones when Flying my Cessna. As a Pilot it was easy to get my Drone license. I just received my Air 2S a few days ago. Same exact kit as mentioned in the video. I live next to a large park with a few baseball fields. I watched this video prior and it has helped me tremendously in getting started. The only thing I would recommend is mentioning about the FAA registration and sticker should be present on the drone prior to flying. Excellent video and I sincerely thank you for sharing!

Yes, the batteries are the same and the charging hub works. I use the charging hub and 2 batteries from my previous Air 2 with a new Air 2s.

Great video. I just got mine. I have a question that I could not find the answer for in the video regarding return to home. I want to use the drone while driving a boat. So if the boat is moving and you press return to home, what happens. How do I make the drone automatically return to the controller, where the boat is?

Thanks for the brilliant video. We'd be lost without it. The official DJI getting started video has such loud music that it is impossible to follow the narration. Quick question. How should one set the max altitude limit if one is taking off from a valley with 400 foot hills or in situation with a tall building? Is it okay to set the maximum altitude to above 120 M in these situations?
