Wow +KingdomMinded 87 ... Good luck. 1st time is the best. Try to take it easy, breath deeply, stay hydrated... to feel & enjoy every second, mainly the 2 most important parts of the flight: the take-off and the landing. Or if you want to really feel the fly sensation... I wish you some turbulences your experienced pilot will manage ;) and get you safely out of. Enjoy! Why didn't I watch these kinds of videos sooner? I remember, my first time flying, I was so nervous. What if there was an accident? I wouldn't look out the window, I'm afraid of heights / falling. Then I decided to and it was awesome. Seeing clouds from the same or a higher altitude is the best view to me. I love flying but I'm also acutely aware of the risk that can come with it. That's why it's such a strange thing for me. It's so beautiful but so dangerous. I still feel very grateful I've had the opportunity to see the clouds from above. :)

@monkeyhoe4815 Жыл бұрын
@@sartemisa1 thanks so much for your speedy reply! I'm nervous because I'm pretty sheltered, it's a long hail flight to the States from Scotland, I don't have much flying experience.. @sartemisa1 Жыл бұрын
@@monkeyhoe4815 ah, ok... so it's more a combination of several things ( sheltered, long intercontinental flight ). My longest non-stop flight was an evening 13,x hrs flight London - Manila. I flew to US several times from Paris, Amsterdam but... I had other things on my mind. I wasn't careless because I was watching everything over the window... but sometimes being careless might be a solution. The stomach feeling sometimes triggers me before reaching cruising altitude, air turbulences ( one from New Orleans towards Chicago was strange )... but I think I'm lucky or careless / thinking about other things. Did you try breathing exercises? Massaging / combing your palm? Take your shoes off if you feel your feet swell. Think about something nice / your destination plans. Meditate / Close your eyes / focus your attention somewhere else ( where your attention goes, your energy flows )

All things said and done, my reasons for going are good ones, my fiance is American and we are missing each other hehe so I literally can't wait to see him, he'll be waiting for me when I land. @LeeMaitland4 жыл бұрын
I've always felt like that when actually observing clouds rather than ignoring them as I go through daily life, more so from above, the same way I feel looking at the stars at night, a kind of humbling realisation of insignificance but that I'm just part of it all, not necessarily evading the imposed reality so much as acknowledging reality (a similar feeling occurs when I hear Carl Sagans Pale blue dot speach). But this beautiful view in your video is up there all the time and always has been, it was obscured from us till we achieved flight, I wonder what it would feel like to see it from higher up, say on a Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin or SpaceX flight? In a few decades who knows, with careful planning and heaps of luck, I may even get to 🌍. Great video.
@sartemisa14 жыл бұрын
@Lee waw, beautiful 1st paragraph. " Evading imposed reality... " Beautiful. What is reality?... we must question the nature of reality every second. The truth cannot be sensed with the common senses ( Vedanta: if you can see it, smell, touch, conceptualize it... it's not real ). " Acknowledging reality " - Observe, without labeling, describing, judgeing. Reflection, not important to know the answers. Be skeptical. But have humility. Reverence. Gratitude. Respect. Abide in existence. Enlightnment: Rest in awareness. In existence. In being From my present beliefs, that insignificance makes me more free, more powerful. I am stardust, on a cosmic journey, having a human life experience. Some of my body atoms were forged in the crucible of stars, even outside our Milky way galaxy, maybe... I am ( part of ) everything, in disguise. In regard to the 2nd paragraph, I enjoy SF movies views, may it be Space Odyssey, Interstellar, etc. even common ones. I'd like to be up there, but I understand the present limitations ( body, mind, technological, etc. ) Thanx for commenting

It's not that bad. You just feel around 2-3G's but once you get up to speed it's fine. Problem i don't like is the number of times you need to pop your ears at altitude and it still feels unconfortable.

When you start running... do you start in full speed or gradually get faster? Or I don't comprehend what you are trying to say
@rudraksh_kawadkar Жыл бұрын
It was started to run in full speed on runway and suddenly gone up, and then I felt like speed is getting slow on elevation....
@sartemisa1 Жыл бұрын
@@rudraksh_kawadkar there are people who understand / can explain better than me... I assume the Jump fase should be faster, from ground to hop in the air, but again it might be only an impression. You need to maintain speed. Air currents different on ground than up there. Could be some accelereration, just like with a car, before changing into a superior gear...

Also, seeing the landscape, urban planning from above can be a change of perspective, if you aren't a tech savvy user of maps or drones. Lately, flying a lot, different continents, flight durations, directions ( vertical / horizontal ) jetlag, it's a different feeling

@Saauna... yeah, I guess in the beginning it can be like that. I flew in different types of aircrafts, different situations, purpose, etc. I remember once, the guy next to me was imagining controlling the take off stage, handling invisible stick, gear, buttons..., while the plane was still on the field ( he took some flying lessons ). I have both good & bad memories. Customers, crew, airport employees, weather, canceled / postponed flights, etc. I'm getting tired & old at 42 yrs. Flying for the first time in ten years this Friday scared to death the take off is the scariest part to me how is it do you get pushed back in your seat we’re you ok how were you still able to record
@sartemisa13 жыл бұрын
@Tucker yes, the most difficult parts of the flight are those 2: take off and landing. How do I manage it / them? I'm more aware of landing, because of all the preparation, announcements, people, etc. Taking off comes naturally. There is preparation as well, but I don't know, I focus on breathing, on the destination and all of the sudden the lifting feeling in the belly pops up. Where you focus your attention , that's where your awarness goes... try breathing techniques ( longer exhale = relaxation ); touch your inside part of the palm with a comb / other hand's nails slowly; think about the things you'll do in the place you're going; close your eyes while breathing slowly, etc. Your mind is manufacturing things... be careful with it ;)
