Thanks for doing this fellas!!! It's the best birthday gift I have received ! This was written by Denny Lane and Ronnie Wood. Rod Stewart refused to sing it. Alot of great songs in thier catalog . They have the sickest title to an album album in my opinion that there is. A Nod is As Good As A Wink To A Blind Hoarse 😂😂 Excellent reaction, fellas!! Appreciate it!! This is just one of the reasons that you guys are the best in the business!!!

Why wouldn't Rod sing it? It sounds just like all those great wistful folky-country-bluesy songs on Rod's early albums, seems like it would've been a natural for him.
@jamesmichael36073 ай бұрын
@@grandwazoodebris1015 during the studio work on this album , rod was not fully focused on The Faces, as he was on his solo efforts. He put some time in but not same energy, Ronnie Lane soon departed the band after release, The Small Faces. And The Faces are some of the best little known Rock music one can enjoy

Co-written by Ronnie Lane, not Denny Laine. Ronnie was the bassist with The Faces (and Small Faces) and wrote and sang several songs with them.

I was at the Cactus Café at The University Of Texas at Austin one night many years ago, there were maybe 100 people there, and they introduced Ronnie Lane, who co-founded Small Faces and Faces and who, it turned out, was sitting 2 tables away from me. His Multiple Sclerosis was advanced, and he had to be helped to the stage by a very pretty lady dressed like it was New Year’s Eve. He only had energy to do one song, and he sang this.

As far as Music Reaction channels go, I just can't believe these guys aren't at 500,000 subs already. Very few can even appreciate music as they do and even better, they actually enjoy the music and know or learn the details, not just the likes. They are the guys you'd want to have a beer with and enjoy the music and discussions.

Each member of Faces was an exceptional musician. Would not have expected less as 3/5 of the band were Small Faces, a totally brilliant band. When Steve Marriott quit the SF's, it took two people (Rod Stewart & Ron Wood) to fill the huge hole left behind. I'lI bet most of us at one time or another felt the same way about hindsight. Very clever lyrics. RIP Ronnie Lane.

Marriott leaves SF .. causally grabs Peter Frampton to form Humble Pie. And yes, RIP Mr Lane.

@@danmayberry1185 I love Faces and Humble Pie, but IMO, neither reached the level of talented musicians, creativity and and pure happiness as the mother band - SMALL FACES. They are my favorite band from that era, behind Beatles. RIP also to Steve, Ian Mclagan, Greg Ridley - all greatly missed along with Ronnie...

Just a great laid back happy tune. Their biggest hit was Stay With Me which I think y'all already reacted to. This is probably their second most famous. Piano by the great Ian McLagan, RIP. When I moved to Austin 12 years ago, McLagan had moved here and his band played during happy hour every Thursday night at a little bar called The Lucky Lounge which was right next to Antones at the time. No cover charge. I spent a lot of time there until he died a couple of years later.
