@@AirplayBeats When I was 19 years old I worked and lived at a Ski Resort in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I worked nights from 11 pm til 8 am and then I'd be the first skier to the top of the mountain every morning. I'd ski til noon, go to sleep, get up about 8 pm and put this on my turntable first thing, and start my day on the right foot, every day. Some of the best days of my life 40 years ago. 🎶 Listen to the Music 🎶

According to McDonald, the drummer on this tune was Keith Knudsen, who also contributed background vocals. Producer Ted Templeman did not require all band members to be present for every song. Other band members on the track were Tiran Porter (bass and vocals) and conga player Bobby LaKind who did not gain official band member status until years later, and guest synth player Bill Payne. The funny thing about the two Doobie Brothers talk is original singer/guitarist Tom Johnston later rejoined the band and now plays and sings background vocals on this song all the time when they play shows.

I play this and all other music I grew up with to my grandkids. My five year old granddaughter is a Steve Perry from Journey and Led Zeppelin fan. Giselle got mad at me when she found out I met Steve Perry in 2019 at a private event and I didn’t take her with me. She was only 2-2 1/2 years old I couldn’t take her. I flew from Florida to Rhode Island to see him. She figured it out last year when she saw a picture of the two of us. You can never go wrong with the Doobie Brothers no matter with or without Michael McDonald I saw them again last year for their 50th anniversary they were off the chain good. They are touring again you might wanna see if they’re in your area you will not be disappointed if you see them live.
