"You wore Bon Jovi shirts, I wore Run DMC." It took some people time to realize it but you were both right! Back in the day I never limited myself to a particular genre. Good music was good music no matter what the source. From Run DMC & Beasty Boys to Bon Jovi & Motley Crue, there was good music everywhere you turned! The 80's was a glorious time for music!

My favorite Bon Jovi song. And it's Richie Sambora's bluesy harmonies that MAKE it for me (he's the lead guitarist). Now you need to hear "Blaze of Glory". It continues the Western theme (not country). And, as with this one, you need to do the Official video. Happy New Year, guys!🍾🥂☮️💜 Wishing you & yours & all my fellow subscribers a truly happy & blessed year. As always, much love & appreciation from Kentucky. 🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵✨️🩵

One of the cast members of the movie "Young Guns" (Emilio Estevez) asked if they could use this song in the movie Young Guns, but Bon Jovi said it really didn't fit with the type of movie that it was (Western) and wrote Blaze of Glory for the movie. Jon Bon Jovi is one of those guys you wanted to dislike because the girls all went nuts over him, but the more you learn about him he is harder to dislike. From his restaurant that feeds people who can't afford to pay to providing housing for the poor and especially veterans, having established the Walter Reed veterans housing facility--he's just a good guy. On top of that he is 62 and looks like he's 42 (one of the reasons I dislike him) and the wife still swoons whenever she sees him on TV....but a pretty great singer on top of it all. Their album "Slippery When Wet" was pretty awesome.

Here is what most people don't know. The amount of work he does for his community is amazing. I live 2 towns over from where he does so I know,he has multiple little restaurants in Monmouth County NJ where he serves gourmet meals to the less fortunate, you can get a 3 coarse.meal and just make a donation if you can,it could be $5 ,he doesn't care. He is a better human than a musician

Bon Jovi's one of the greats that came out of the 80's . But if you want to hear the greatest band ever you need to check out , Def Leppard . Just a little about Def Leppard . In 1984 after being together for 7 years , they put out an album that would go all the way to begin the #2 album in the world , right behind Michael Jackson's Thriller . After doing a 9 month tour promoting the album , one of the members went to a Chevy dealership & bought a Corvette & had it shipped back to Sheffield England where they are from . While working on their next album they decided to take a break from recording for the holidays & on December 31st 1984 the member that bought the Corvette & his girlfriend at the time decided to take a drive in that car . His life would change forever because he rolled the Corvette on that day & while he was in the hospital fighting for his life . The rest of the band had to make a decision . Do they A : replace him & finish recording their new album & go back out on tour or B : do they walk away from the fame & money that they have after having the #2 album in the world . Well they chose option B & they decided to walk away from music until their member came back to the band or until he came to the rest of the band & told them to replace him because he couldn't do it anymore . Well after 3 & a half years they finally finished & released the album that they were working on when their member had his car wreck & fortunately their member was back with the band & he's still in the band today . The album that they released in August of 1997 when their member was able to come back still holds 2 records today , now I want you to think about both of these records because not even Bon Jovi could break either one of them even with the release of the album that Wanted Dead Or Alive was on . Record #1 of Def Leppard's album called Hysteria still holds today : out of the 12 songs on the album , from August of 87 through October of 88 it had 7 singles on Billboard's top 100 count down . Record #2 that Def Leppard's album Hysteria still holds today : from August of 87 through October of 88 , 6 of the 7 singles were in the top 10 . Oh yeah & when you are watching the video , you will see the guy that had the car wreck , you just have to keep your eyes open & pay close attention to the video . Anyway I hope you guys listen to this video & you guys like it . Peace out . kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zoasc2yPabR5htUsi=ONZ8djOODkjqLfJm

I've sung this song dozens of times over the last 30 years for karaoke & never made the connection to "all" of the comparisons between the cowboys of the old west & touring with the band.
