Stevie I was on that spirit flight @ gate 15 ready to push back and didn’t know what the hell was going on we had to deplane for about two hours. when I got home I found out it was a lighter in the shape of a gun that caused it.

Intresting observational video, much appreciated. It isvusyal that security breaches for some ordinary citizens makes way for HEAVY monetary fine and or ban. ??? Did this occur on this occasion?? Am in awareness that global malfunctioning occurred and that the events of tge hurricane attached NIL financial recess on the communication system to users of information communication technology (ICT) citizens of Jamsica are stoll Billed fir water, telephone, parish council tax etc!!

I believe the gear doors on the 57 usually just stay open I coo be wrong, I know there are some planes like that

@@1STEWY yeah man, looks like it was the right main gear door. Normally when this happens they would declare an emergency because a gear door out of sequence would normally cause the gear disagree warning in the cockpit

@1STEWY while you are just the messenger and cannot be faulted for not having the information, a security breach with no provided information or explanation is to me a disservice to the traveling public. I get it widespread panic is never good for airline travel. Still, given that all it takes is one bad incident or person to create a great loss of life, all the hush is just as disconcerting and open to much speculation.

​@@1STEWYchecked the news and while I got my explanation, how it happened is still a mystery. Security checks through scanners are supposedly done in real time and on more than one occasion I have had to subject myself to secondary personal screening as the x-ray showed something suspicious. So then how something that was seen in a screening check that looked like a weapon passed through, the passenger was handed back his/her luggage, then allowed to enter the departure area before it being confiscated or dealt with is not a good look. The passenger in question although not identified is wrong, but why he was passed through begs questions about security scanning.
