Would be great to see some before and after sound testing!! Keep up the good work matey!!!

Cheers dude, yeah massive oversight I didn't do that. Will continue to ramble as requested 😂

I used this principle on mine but I modified it by adding more foam donuts spaced out with scouring pad pieces in between
@schmorls2335 Жыл бұрын
Great idea but i would include one more step into your guide and that is using a torch and gently removing hairs from the inside of your foam pad before rolling it into the suppressor. Like this you will have a much better result than with a pipe sticking in afterwards.
@johnd4408 Жыл бұрын
It would work better if you cut washers out of the scouring pads that resemble the end of the foam inserts and stack them.
@AngryBullAirsoft Жыл бұрын
I did try that but getting the holes right without proper cutting tools was a nightmare. My new suppressor (SBA DTSS) is made with alternating size discs and it’s crazy quiet.

@@adamnarey8138 how do you mean? You mean the alternating inner?
@adamnarey8138 Жыл бұрын
@@AngryBullAirsoft Yes mate, the alternating size disks - especially how you suffered through cutting the outer and inner sizes without the correct tools 😂

@@adamnarey8138 with you - the SBA comes with this as standard. I think Novritsch has similar in his now

Thanks for the video, gave me some things to think about. But some points of critic: To measure the circumfence of the supressor just calculate C = 2 · r · π (C=circumfence, r= radius of the tube) and then take a ruler and cut it of with a cutter. And after all it took very long for you to show everything. One question, why not just wrap it around the spring that was inside the package first? And now an idea that just came to my mind, but i have not tried it yet: Try to fold the green stuff like 4 times over the long side. After that cut out small bits (triangles for exaple) on the longer side, nearly to the middle, on both sides. When you now unfold it you have many holes in it, where a lot of air and sound can travel and gets reflected. Keep on making videos! Regards, Jan

Build the foam around the spring, Us the discarded spinning as jig to Build around.
@AngryBullAirsoft Жыл бұрын
Posisbly yes, but - is the spring too wide? by closing in a bit more you can do better. I'm currently using Silverback suppressors on my rifles, those things are crazy good with no effort needed.

I was considering punching discs out of this and stacking them inside for a more uniform hole
@AngryBullAirsoft2 жыл бұрын
Would be the best approach if you alternate the hole size between a larger and smaller aperture to give more surface area to absorb sound waves 👍

@@AngryBullAirsoft im just worried about creating turbulent air in the suppressor and effecting accuracy. I may be starting yo overthink it lol

Little bit maybe, the silverback suppressors come like that though and they're golden.

Have you done any experimenting with HPA builds of how many foam baffles or what suppressor length you need before it’s diminishing returns?
@AngryBullAirsoft11 ай бұрын
I haven’t, since making this video I bought a SBA DTSS which sounded “better” it was quieter and less crack on the output. I stopped fiddling at that point.

@@AngryBullAirsoft Nice! Best suppressor you’ve used then? Better than the scotchbrite mod or better than Hex?
@AngryBullAirsoft11 ай бұрын
Difficult to say as I haven’t had them all side by side but my general feelings are DTSS is an easy option without needing hours of tweaking. It’s just a suppressor after all. I have a 338 on my silverback srs and I bought one of the mk23 ones for my mk as well. I have confidence in them

Disappointing that the all important part was not done. The before and after sound check (i.e if it actually works!). Planning an instructional video is vital so as not to leave your viewers hanging! Very frustrating!
@AngryBullAirsoft3 жыл бұрын
Fully agree, before and after would have been the correct way of doing this. At the time I got a bit excited and ripped straight into it. Will definitely be something I do in future videos of this kind 👍
