Great tips! And FYI, I passed my checkride a couple weeks back, and I credit you and your videos for making it much less daunting. Thank you!

I recently moved from Florida close to the Manassas Airport (KHEF). I had to go through the DC SFRA training and have flown through the FLUKY gate many times now. I will admit, it was intimidating at first because you have to submit flight plans and make sure that you have the proper squak and hop between ATC and Approach controllers but it's really good practice. It feels a bit unique so I recommend every pilot try it out sometime! As always, great video Jason, and see you in Florida!

Here’s a neat one for you, Jason. It’s in Alaska. It’s a picture of a walrus on a sectional chart. Looks southwest of airport identifier PATG.

Great video! We're from Dayton, Ohio area and was looking to fly to the panhandle of Florida, more specifically the area around Pensacola and Destin. Lots going on in that area!

I am working towards my PPL now at KTLH. Gas is not the cheapest but the million air here is really nice. You will certainly run into some wildlife areas out here. I’m still blown away at the size of some of the birds you’ll see at 4k agl

You always have great content. Have you covered MOA airspace in any of your videos? I just moved from a State that had none... to a State that has tons of them. I understand that FAA will be posting NOTAMS for those spaces at some point and should be able to get current info on Foreflight. But, until then.... I'd love to hear your take and recommendations on transitioning though them. I'm in SC and want to fly to a friend's in Pensacola and there are so many MOA's and Restricted ares, I'm a little nervous about flying down there.

Disneyland California. I love your videos, very informative. Your positive attitude is a blessing, it just makes me feel good when I watch your videos which is a bonus.

Most interesting symbol I’ve seen on VFR charts: next to Beale AFB (BAB) there’s a big blue star, noting where the USAF PAWS Radar is, as it’s hazardous to nearby aircraft

I know of 2 wildlife refuge areas, 3000’+ requested altitude. One in central CA, Pinnacles National Park, and one to the East of KSBP in S Cal.

Always love the videos Jason. On the topic of airspace gotchas, KFNL north of Denver, CO is a fun one. A small airport in class E airspace that has a remote tower. At first glance it looks like your average airport in class E airspace and has caused quite a few misunderstandings.

Check out Oakland (KOAK) for another “T” airspace. My understanding is it’s noted when the overlying airspace starts at multiple altitudes, so the top of the Charlie is a different altitude depending where you are in the area

Check out the various Farallones sea animal sanctuary chart makings along the California coast. Administered by NOAA not the FAA. The rules are strict and no way pilot friendly.

Question about MOA beginning at 500' AGL and "Radar not Available". I'm planning a VFR flight from my home airport KMFR to 62S (Christmas Valley) - and then on to KGCD (Grant County). However, about 6 nm East of 62S I would enter Juniper Low MOA (500' AGL - 10,999' AGL) if I fly directly to KGCD. That MOA is often active. Due to terrain I'll likely cruise at 7,500' MSL. I am considering 62S to BREWW to KGCD as a way to avoid the MOA, but on the aerial chart is a large area of hash marks and the words "Radar not Available" (turn ON the radar layer on Foreflight). Is that only for weather reporting or will it also not allow me to be visible to ATC for flight following? The intended course of flight is over a pretty desolate "no man's land" area of the Oregon high desert - I want flight following for sure. Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.

What about the airspace just off the coast outside of KMYR?

There is "Special Military Activity" if you go from KSBA to L88. NO ONE has given me an answer if I can fly through that or not. That includes a tower controller and a fighter pilot. If anyone knows the answer and can back it up with FAA proof, please let me know.
