It’s a 684 or 25IB for myself but wife is happy with 604 so 2022 beckons with a silver lining but still holding for a Eurocentric FB with rear door hatch for the hauling bikes

Beautiful caravan but out of my price range I’m afraid and on top of that a huge tow car would be required as well, still superb though 👍👍👍👍👍

Another lovely caravan but to wide to fit down my driveway.
@anneshirley17483 жыл бұрын
Oh wow!! Beautiful! That extra width really makes one hell of a difference! Yes, you'd need a very big motor to tow that one! Thank you for showing us this model and for the whole series, looking forward to seeing the last one! You still rock!! Any news about your baby?! Hopefully you can pop over (just like that!) to Germany soon! Just remembered, Dusseldorf is on soon isn't it?!! Keep on doing what you do best! Hugs xxx

I'm quietly keeping my fingers crossed Anne. Not saying anything because we all know how quickly the rug can be pulled from under us...

VERY low to ground. Coupled with the length I'd be wary of many camping areas on this side of the pond. Interior is great.

Believe it or not, they used to be even lower when on BPW chassis... I speak from painful experience!

Thanks Andrew, can you tell us please what was the white thing at the bedroom end of the sink countertop? It sort of looks like a roller blind??? Downunda - Class C owner, Melbourne Australia
@andrewjditton3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's blind in front of an open shelving unit, to keep the stuff in place on the road.
@annettefournier96553 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew. Gorgeous but yikes ; cost as much as a house. Plus the cost of a vehicle to tow it! Some of us can only dream. 🙃

I really want to buy a 684, but I don't understand how a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is featured on the Airstream Europe website towing this van, is heavy enough to tow? I have a Ford Ranger Raptor and as far as I can tell, the European site says the van is too heavy (2920kg) MTPLM for the raptors 2500kg limit, but the UK says MTPLM is 2400kg for the 684?! I'm so confused.

I just saw an airstream 685 with bunk beds in the germany airstream dealership. Is that something that you can do a review on.

Sadly not, as it is no longer made!

Which one is your favorite if money was no object?
@andrewjditton3 жыл бұрын
That's a toughie! I guess it would be a 684, but realistically a 534 :)
@GamzeMutfakta3 жыл бұрын
@@andrewjditton I think 684 is the winner 🥰.. but as a solo traveller I would choose 604 over 534 just because I love cooking!:)) Still working on those dreams..someday..

How are people going to tow these things once diesel and petrol engined cars are banned? An electric car will kill it's battery in no time towing this.
@andrewjditton3 жыл бұрын
Good question. Although a Tesla Model X can already tow two of the range. Let's see how tech reacts.
@captainwin63333 жыл бұрын
@@andrewjditton Got to hope that the enghineering and science in the battery/electric motor world really starts to make big improvements across the board.
@markgrimshaw27166 ай бұрын
Absolutely a question that comes up regularly between my wife and I. We have a new Swift Elegance 835 and a Discovery 5, which we need, due to having 2 big dogs. Don't think a Tesla Model X would have enough space for dog cage and gear, let alone the range for a decent trip
@philldownes86853 жыл бұрын
towing weight has NOTHING to do with kerb weight of the tow vehicle.. range rover classic can tow that has its had a tow weight of 4 ton in normal high range and 8 ton in low range. weight of the classic was just 1,700 kilo..... all series land rovers can tow it and none of them were over 1500 kilo.. you can tow this with many many motors with nowhere near the kerb weight of this thing..... the 85% rule is a total myth put about by tosspots ... same with the 1005 rule all myths. you have to go by the manufacturers towing weight (unless you up rate the vehicle yourself then get it re plated ). you have to nowdays go by tow vehicles max train weight, then also combine the cars max permisable gross weight and the caravan/trailer gross weight.....

Having towed a snaking caravan and managed not to have it all end in disaster, I'll stick to the established laws of physics. Thanks for watching!

They have always been marketed separately despite being essentially the same trailers. There are small differences such as upholstery etc. Thanks for watching.
