Biker Boiy, we had a $10,000 travel trailer we bought in 2001. Averaged 80 nights a year and camped in 24 states. There are many places you can camp and enjoy nature where there are no hotels nearby. Sitting around a campfire, mountain biking, hiking, cooking the fish you caught, lying in a hammock, etc. There are things you can enjoy and places you can experience that hotels just cant live up to. Also, sleeping in the same bed every night can be critical for a good night's sleep for many people. After 15 years use, we sold the trailer for $3000. So, about $500 a year to own the trailer.

If it sells in the numbers they expect, then their pricing is spot on. The cheapest room went for over $200 a night and the average cost of a meal was $30 at one of the many on property restaurants. I thought it was ridiculous, but they were doing a booming business. A lot of people with a lot of money to blow out there.

And to think it was designed to have all the creature comforts of home, excluding the feeling as if you are standing in cold urine unless you put your shoes on to bleed the lizard while in the great indoors, while visiting the great outdoors, even though the outdoors is literally one step away. People's socks would get soaked if they didn't put on their puddle jumpers. If to say that its a home away from home, then it deserves a factory recall just to fix that design flaw to the drain location. Someone could slip on that shower water that might have pee in it from when they peed while having a shower, or be surprised at the feeling of their socks becoming more like cold wet mops and then become distracted towards losing their balance and end up disabled and then have to pay an extra 45 grand to have that mobile form of real estate fitted with a proper lift or a ramp that was designed by martin scorelli's cousin to always be way more expensive than the actual material costs, because draining the savings accounts of people living with disabilities is traditionally accepted from a profitable healthcare related business perspective. And if to examine the variables further, a worst case scenario could in fact be to slip and fall in that thing within the first week, then they repo the thing while the disenfranchised purchaser finds their proximity relocated to within that of a hospital, and if its sold in a country that doesn't have free universal healthcare, the hospital costs alone can render a person having their regular land-based real estate also seized, then one ends up living on the edge of the sidewalk for the duration of their limited live only once lifespans back in the fancy world class city that has all those creature comforts.

We’ve met some of the finest people one could hope to meet on the road when they’ve stopped by to see inside our trailer. You could build a entire large house and still have enough left over to pay the paving company for said driveway, though the taxes on purchasing the real estate lot to build it on would cost more than 46k if living in one of most cities. Then theres the taxes on water delivery, plus people are instantly paying the gross tax when they understand that theres a disgusting slime in the plumbling lines that are govt approved for drinking water that they pretend isn't really there, and lead poisoning if building in places such as Flint Michigan where the govt completely doesn't give a flying F what the quality of water is that you are expected to pay for. Its a corporately owned world, ran by corporately owned politicians that think everyone should be able to afford to spend 46k on a weekend mobile cottage/overpriced type of lunchbox that has wheels. Does airstreams factory even use enough or any filtration to stop all the VOC's from emitting into the atmosphere? The govt that rotates every 4 or so years probably doesn't regulate Airstream and others like em enough to expect that, just as long as they keep paying taxes on the business titles. They used to behead people who had nowhere else to go and couldnt afford to pay their taxes, and its still illegal to loiter in cities, as any well paid unionized officer of the law can inform you of that much. Yes, once A.I. and it's automation really takes over, things are going to be much better, affordable everything.

My father paid 21,000 for a brand new four bedroom two bath house with separate living, dining and family rooms as well as a walkout basement. How old does that make me? Old enough to know better than to pay $46,000 for a one-person trailer. DFA.

That price is nuts. If u made that a little bigger with double axles it would be perfect, but then it would cost 70 g's.

Not worth $46,000 sorry... You could buy a low mileage Jeep and a used Casita for that much if you're patient

We now have 500’ sq ft $90,000 tiny homes and $46K 16’ Airsteam trailers. This trend will continue until enough people realize what happens when you pass gas in a structure smaller than the box your refrigerator came in.

You nailed it . That's why you need to invest in real estate now . The cost of labor and materials is crazy . Look at hotel /motel cost, prices for storage sheds, the clues are all around .
