Airtag or Airtags are Apple product that allow you to use FIND MY app from iPhone or iPad to find your items that the Airtag is attached to.

Misplacing something like your wallet doesn’t have to be a big deal when it has AirTag attached. How does it work?
Your AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud - then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. Lost Mode makes finding things even easier.

AirTag is designed to discourage unwanted tracking. If someone else’s AirTag finds its way into your stuff, your iPhone will notice it’s travelling with you and send you an alert. After a while, if you still haven’t found it, the AirTag will start playing a sound to let you know it’s there.
Of course, if you happen to be with a friend who has an AirTag, or on a train with other passengers who have AirTag, don’t worry. These alerts are triggered only when an AirTag is separated from its owner.

My airtag battery life was only a few months. Any advice on how I can extend the battery life?

I would recommend replacing it with and approved seller on ebay or amazon and that might help.

Don’t waste your money on this garbage unless you want to hear your chime alert go off even when you’re not looking for your item at times I have all my settings and notifications off and it still chimes driving people nuts!!

Hi Hardlines, it has been weird how sometimes my Airtags would send chime alert. All I can guess is past pending find alert going off after some days when the Airtag gets the old old signal.
