Airush - How To Tune Your Bar (Check & Adjust the Trim)

Today DK is going to be taking you through adjusting the trim on your Airush Bar's. This is applicable to any bar in the Airush range.
Step 1: Secure your lines to a fixed point.
Step 2: Run out your lines.
Step 3: Identify how much the trim has off set.
Step 4: Using a tool, pull out your lines from under the floats.
Step 5: Adjust the knot placement.
Step 6: Repeat on the other side.
Step 7: Load up and set the knots.
Step 8: Check your trim again.

I've found after soaking the bar in lukewarm fresh water for 10-15 mins, it's possible to 'stretch' shrunken lines back to original length, the line diameter can go back to normal without the embedded salt. Dyneema won't stretch beyond original length without crazy effort.

Could you shorten the centre lines instead?

Yes, that is just as effective. The bar in the video is much easier to adjust on the rear line leaders.

@@Kiteboardshaper since your trim adjustment just went to the last knot, next trim you will have to either trim the front lines or add pigtails to the back lines... Which really makes me wonder, why does Airush supply bars with so little trim room on the back lines. All of my (many) Airush bars needed a trim of 15-20cm on the back lines, sooner or later. I solve it with pigtail extensions but it would be more elegant to just have more trim space on the hidden leader lines...

Bonjour, pendant la vidéo vous expliquez que le Trim doit être entièrement ouvert. Sur ma barre, le Trim se trouve à l'opposé, c'est à dire, tiré à fond. Es ce que ça change sur la qualité de navigation. Ma barre est d'origine installé comme cela.
