From a 35 year paramedic, ridiculous scenarios are the downfall of many a medic student that might otherwise have been a great paramedic, but failed an unrealistic scenario. I've tried through the years to stay current with advances in airway management and your 5 points are spot on. 1988 airway management is light years behind today, yet is still being taught and practiced in some places. Sad.
