Love me. [warning: lights, gore, kikuo stuff]
▶▶ Help choose my next song by donating! / jubyphonic
God I love Kikuo, not even just for the horror aesthetic but he has such great taste. And so do my patrons because they voted for me to sing this song! I’m grateful as always and sorry I couldn’t complete it sooner. Kikuo songs aren’t simple and take a bit longer to do. Especially since the the main chorus of the lyrics were so hard to decide on and I ended up going with the most straightforward lines. Not sure if I’m completely satisfied but sometimes you just gotta move on!
My 2017 Resolution:
Hello all, I hope 2017 is going well for you so far! What about me? Well, that’s kind of complicated since I learned there are a lot of skeptical eyes upon me nowadays. I guess they always were there but now I’m aware of them. It’s just really strange to me since this channel was made by an awkward 16 year old with no idea what to do and now I’m an awkward 22 year old. Still don’t know what to do but definitely a lot more expectations to meet. I feel like my New Years Resolution might even be judged at this point so I’ll keep it short and to the point. I wanna do more good for this community. Make it so that others have an even better experience than I’ve had and go further. That’s what I want this year.

--------LYRICS----
Far far away in a time and a place
Lived a necklace winding astray
“It’s people I need, oh people to feed”
The choker accursed would frantically scream
Do not be angry, do not go away, be right here
And forever you’ll stay
(Hey)
Wound tighter and tighter, threw up, nearly whiter
Nobody here, there’s nobody at all
I’m doing so well have you heard?
(You see, you see) I’m such a good girl
Cute as a button, you heard?
(You see, you see) So good, this girl
In pain, I scream you see?
Love me I say, love me I say, love me I say, more and more and
Love me I say, love me away
Until I’m not completely sane
Torturing me, torturing me
Let me be free, break from the curse hurting me
None of you can stop it now
Ahh grow as you may, like a sweet summer day
Know this collar will stay just the same
“I’m hurting and bleed, I need more to feed”
“Get people, more people" the choker would scream
I am the best, in my class they attest
I’m a girl far above all the rest
(Yes)
Far better than those two, better than all you
People, oh people! Look only at me! Oh
Meeting alone in the yard
From me to you, confessing my heart
Was it a lie from the start?
To say I love you from afar
As filthy a creature you are!
Love me I say, love me I say, love me I say, take what you want of me
Taking from me, taking from me, all that I have and all that I keep
Screaming for more, you’re not enough, screaming for more,
I couldn’t give you up ahh
I am just so sorry
Love me I say, love me I say, love me I say, more and more and
Love me I say, love me away
Until I’m not completely sane
Torturing me, strangling me, torturing me, more and more, more and more ahh!
Aren’t I so happy today?
Ahh ahh
Aren’t I so happy today?

The “necklace” is a metaphor. It represents all the rules she had to follow for her parents attention and the older she got the more rules like when she says “do not be angry”, “do not go away”,” be right here” it’s probably some of the rules she had to follow and she developed golden child syndrome, so she started to think she has to follow the rules to get attention from others.

What is golden child syndrome?
@theofficalsilentraven
@theofficalsilentraven 4 жыл бұрын
@@scratchrabbit2472 Here is the definition: The Golden Child is, over time, destined for a moment of breakdown when the hopes invested in it fail to be realised. The Golden Future will, it starts to be clear, never materialise, but a bigger prize awaits: a feeling of liberation from expectations that were always disconnected from reality.
@pokefan7446
@pokefan7446 4 жыл бұрын
Scratch Rabbit Basically, a "Golden child" is a child that is constantly being praised for something, such as being smart or beautiful, even if they can’t understand why they’re being praised so much. This can lead them to feel as if they’re undeserving, and afraid that they'll eventually be told that they aren’t as great as they were told and be left on their own for not meeting these expectations. In other words, they feel as if they have to be perfect and meet people's expectations, no matter how unrealistic they are, in order to deserve attention and affection. This is basically what "Golden Child Syndrome" is.

Aishite" is an original song by Kikuo. This song is about a girl who demands love and attention from other people as an effect of a cursed collar she wears. As she grows up, the collar's effect on her becomes stronger, making her end up feeling unsatisfied and continues to demand more love and attention from others, believing that the people whom she demands from are not enough. Another interpretation is that it is about a girl who wants love from her parents. Her parents want her to do well in school and do not give her the love she so desires. The collar she wears is a symbol of her parents' expectations. As she grows up and her body changes, the collar stays the same size just as what her parents want out of her doesn't change either. This song entered the Hall of Legend on November 24, 2019. On October 4, 2021 Kikuo announced on their KZbin channel that the song surpassed 1 million likes, taking the top spot numerically on both KZbin and Spotify.

Just as a personal perspective: the necklace is the expectations her parents had of her. It started off easy to achieve, but it wound tighter and tighter as the achievements became harder and harder to reach. Necklaces can be taken off and on as you please. Her parents gave her the necklace, and she put it on. She held onto it, even when it hurt her, because she didn’t want to seem ungrateful to her parents. I’m still wearing my necklace.

(TRIGGER WARNING) This is one of the songs I relate to the most, and it’s pretty rare to find a song I see myself in. I _have_ loving and caring parents, but it’s the attention seeking part I relate to. As a person who struggles with Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD), I uncontrollably do extreme things for attention even to the point of hurting myself. Don’t reply worrying about me because I already have a therapist and a psychiatrist I see frequently. HPD has always been a part of my life and it’s made it difficult to make friends and keep those friendships from falling apart.

@@vulpiixfoxx The yandere trope is based off of common stereotypes about people with personality disorders, Cluster-B PDs in particular. They associate with these disorders extreme possessiveness, self-centered behaviour, lack of logical thinking, violent tendencies, etc. While these disorders may lead to these things they are not synonymous, and to present characters like these as "haha crazy" is a lazy excuse for character writing that only serve to further demonize people deemed as "crazy". Also, I never mentioned golden child syndrome, I just said "mental illnesses" broadly. But if you have a shred of media literacy you can figure it out : the character starting by calling out to her parents, comparing herself to her classmates and bragging about how much better she is than them, and expressing frustration that it's never enough to get the attention she desires from her caretakers. It's hardly got anything to do with Yanderes and golden child syndrome is very clearly the intended theme, although you can easily link it to different mental illnesses. I myself associate it with my own abandonment issues lol

For the people that don't know what Golden Child Syndrome is, here ya go. Golden Child Syndrome is a very common mental illness that mainly occurs in the younger age of people (sometimes older) and affects emotions and certain other things like mental stability and the way your mind functions. From what I understand (And what I've experienced, I've had it myself), what it's caused by is either strict, mentally abusive parents (bad and very bad), or parents who believe their child is the next generation of knowledge or something that is hard for other children. (Such as calling their child a prodigy at a very young age). This causes that child to be stressed or overwhelmed or any kind of bad emotion when they can't live up to or do something perfectly. This causes that child to be overly worried and anxious in fear of being ridiculed or put down either because of an accident or not being able to do something. This has gone on for lots and lots of years and there is no medical or mental cure I know of. I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense but I tried explaining as best I could. Edit: I've seen a lot of comments asking if they have it and if its bad to self diagnose. First off, self diagnosing is not bad. But you should definitley see a doctor about certain things, because depression and anxiety may or may not come with Golden Child Syndrome. So please discuss with a doctor or somebody you trust about getting you tested.

After years of feeling this way i finally know the meaning of this song. the girl in the first part gets good grades but her parents never notice. she feels unloved and this collar around her neck is unsatisfied and needs more to feed on. she loves someone and tries to get them to love her back. but yet the collar wants more. this collar symbolizes not feeling good enough, her mindset that nothing will ever impress her parents and nothing will ever steal their heart, every good feedback she gets leaves this "collar" wanting more because it represents her insecurities and how she needs more assurance shes loved. when the collar isnt satisfied or wants to feed on more, it means her insecurities are telling her "this compliment isnt enough to know youre loved. give me more, i need more." its kind of like her inner mind. she feels trapped in the end under this collars will, and pretends to be satisfied and happy even if the collar isnt.

audriipockii I was looking for the deep commenter who has felt the pain and could speak on it as well. Thanks for sharing. I feel a lot of us feel this sense of unworthiness and needing someone to love us so badly. It starts in childhood with our parents and spreads like wildfire into our teens and adulthood if we don’t catch it before it’s too late. I like the song because it brings me back to those days and how even now her voice is in my being someone begging for love. The best we could do is love ourselves now and in this moment. Appreciate how far we’ve come and continue moving forward toward something better and more sustainable.

For some reason this song just speaks to me when it comes to singing nobody has ever said that I'm bad but just because my singing reminds my dad of my mom I've just always felt like I'm just not good enough to be recognized by him and he hasn't once actually listened to my voice which only recently started affecting me mentally. and in other ways it reminds me of how everyone has always seen me as fragile academically yet incredibly gifted in talents so much without a question asked extreme expectations

heya since yall are basically racking ur heads heres an explanation. "Aishite Aishite Aishite" is an original song by Kikuo. As she grows up and her body changes, the collar stays the same size just as what her parents want out of her doesn't change either.

this song isn't about a yandere girl. From the sound of it it's a girl neglected by her parents to the point where she seeks attention from her classmates and friends. The 'necklace' is a metaphor for her brain saying the attention isn't enough and she ends up seeking more and more even though she doesn't feel it's enough. It ends up driving her crazy, even though all she wanted was love.

For me it just shows a girl suffering from her inner turmoil. Outside she's kind, sweet and very quiet but inside she craves attention, she craves validation, she sees that everyone is below her but at the same time she's disgusted by how much she's feeling this so she's just torn. The choker on her neck can be a symbol for her suffering from this feeling. Edit: to the people that said "Omg I feel the same" I'm genuinely worried...

Just wanted to share my experience with Golden Child Syndrome, i don't have it anymore tho I just realized I had it back then but. Ever since I started kindergarten, I knew I had to get top of everything in order to feel valid, so and I became honor student until I was in 4-5 grade idk. That's when I got much more pressured & stressed, eventually I couldn't take it anymore and stopped trying. Then, my mom, teacher, and classmates started to notice my grades go down. My mom told me it was okay and just to try harder next time, my teacher embarrassed me a lot, some of my classmates stopped talking to me and looked down on me. Eventually even some of my friends stopped talking to me. I felt stupid, upset and useless that I started try again, though I knew I should stop doing things for others rather then myself. But now I've been doing good with my studies s been okay:) thanks for readibg

holy fuck. that is exactly what's happening to me rn it's been so much more stressful for me nowadays cause personally, online school is harder. i can't focus. i have so much distractions so i really can't no matter how hard i tried. cause of this, i can't keep up with the lessons nor the projects. my grades are getting lower and lower and my teacher called me out for it and my mom said the exact same thing your mom did. back then i was considered as the "smart one" and ppl would often call for my help but now that my grades are lower, my classmates turned their backs on me and this made me even more sad and hopeless. i can't even do anything about it. well, i feel like i can't do anything about it. im stuck. that's why i just became so careless about everything. im just tired of caring anymore.

I personally think, that the song is about a girl, who grew up with “perfect” parents, who also wanted her to be perfect. They program her mind to aim to become “perfect”. She tries to become “perfect” to please her parents and mind, but soon realizes she can never be “perfect” like her parents. Desperate for love and attention, she begins faking it. She soon gains the “love” and “attention” she was thriving for. She realizes how good the “attention” she gained felt. Her mind (The “Choker”) becomes addicted to the feeling, while the rest of her, becomes trapped in a “curse” as they get dragged everywhere by “the choker”. The “choker” confesses it’s love towards all of the “attention” she gains. The rest of herself, soon realizes that she will forever be stuck in this never ending loop (that is the “choker curse”) so to keep the rest of herself “happy”, she continues to fake the happiness she gains from all “attention”. My theory makes it sound like her mind, and body, are two separate entities.... *But hey, that’s just a theory, a vocaloid theory, thanks for reading*
