This is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. I laughed the WHOLE time. I was emotional invested in everyone on the show. Great writing. Great acting. Thank you.

PLEASE BRING BACK FOR SERIES 2! You must! Fleabag tried to be this good.

Fleabag WAS as good as This Way Up. They're both brilliant.

@@zbr76 my thoughts exactly!! Of course, both shows have female leads, so it's only natural that they'd be pitted against each other.
@zbr763 жыл бұрын
@@OhHiNoOne The fact there is STILL a want to pit women against each other instead of alongside is rather outdated.
@OhHiNoOne3 жыл бұрын
@@zbr76 sorry I couldn't think of a way to highlight the sarcasm in writing, but yeah.... I totally agree with you. Allowing women to create things without hacking them and their work to pieces seems to be a very difficult concept for some people to grasp.

Can't wait for S2. Anything produced by Sharon Horgan is absolutely brilliant; Motherland, Catastrophe, Pulling... All other tv shows are shite

Brilliant show, but this certainly doesn't shine a light on the best bits. The trailers for the programme are better.

Typical case of good for six, surely not a second season, but gets one, and confirms it has already gotten formularic, so the second set becomes a hard ride to sit through (approx 40% of the arch were told during smartphones conversations). Her acting abilities are so limited that you know all of her tricks after you have seen, let's say, eight appearances in talk shows or panel shows.

Aisling Bea is gorgeous, but she couldn't hide the fact This Way Up just wasn't funny. It was clearly a vehicle for herself, but she can't write scripted comedy. She's OK as an actress, but she was irritating as fuck in this. I couldn't get past the second episode. Tonally, it was all over the place, and just very boring.
