I thought I was going crazy when listening to this man and reading the comments here. I could not relax if a stranger came to my home everyday. Pregnancy and birth are extremely taxing on a woman's body and in that vulnerable position it's even more understandable to want to have some privacy at home, which clearly could not be provided in her small flat. On the other hand, why should she feel obligated to uproot her entire life and move to his bigger house just because he's got the money? It would make her completely dependent on her ex as she would be in his house and it's completely understandable that this situation would be uncomfortable for her because he's her ex for a reason and she would also have to go through the additional trouble of finding a new home with her baby after the year is over. I feel like the egg and the users here are looking at this from a very male perspective with little regards to the concerns of this woman. I thought he'd know better considering he's a father. Honestly you might not want strangers in your house when you have a new baby. Also I can see the logic of wanting your co-parent to physically contribute not just throw money at the issue. It can rub the wrong way. I think the mum just doesn't want to be sucked into that lifestyle or have her child think it's normal (esp. as it sounds like mum isn't as wealthy). Bit early to worry about that with a baby but I think all new parents can be a little irrational. Also he convinced her, he should move in so really the ball's in her court in terms of backing out of the plan. Not really. If someone's been doing you a favor and essentially offering you a free service and you're not happy with it just find someone else to do it. Why chew them out over it? I see this all the time with people I know in their mid twenties who live with their parents and get into arguments with them all the time. You might be in the right, but why make your and you're parents life a toxic nightmare when you could, you know, just move out? Also I hate people that use threats to get what they want. Don't threaten your mom to fire her from the job she does for you for free. Just tell her if you're not happy with something she is doing and if she won't change then find someone else to do it.

I moved out when I had no job and was living off gov't benefits because me and my mom, who was raising two younger kids by herself, were getting into arguments all the time. I lived in boarding houses filled with drug users and alcoholics for years before I got on my feet but I can tell you my mental health improved straight away as did my relationship with my mom. At some point you have to take responsibility and agency for the circumstances of your life. The people in your life, including the ones you love, have qualities about them that will drive you up the wall and nothing you ever do will change them. Trying to is a fruitless task that will only lead to more suffering for both of you. The mature thing to do is to create space between yourself and that person to whatever degree is nessisarily for the mental health of both people. The OP had already come to that conclusion in the past, and rather than exchanging nasty words with her mother, she should just do it again and find someone else to look after her kid.

I definitely have my own bias with the save delete post seeing that i had a buddy who i was letting live with me (he was couch surfing so i invited him to join me traveling from NY to AZ) i gave him nearly $500 to get him back on his feet and get supplies so we can be ready for anything (we planned to take bus\train to make fun) well idk what exactly happened but a week before we where suppose to leave he said found quick work for more money and would be back. I thought nothing of it until i tried to go on our Minecraft world...but it was gone. Admittedly i only started playing a year ago (@ the time) but it was my only survival world at the time. I was very proud of it. It was where i would go to de stress and make farms and stuff and it was all gone. Now im not to mad at this but my friend also never came back. I ended up taking my half of what had saved for the trip and got plane tickets instead. 3 weeks later he hits me up asking if i already left. Obviously this made me mad i told him not to talk to me of ask for my help again. I took this dude in fed and sheltered, let him use my system, and he paid me back by deleting my Minecraft save we where working on and stealing half my supplies and money and saying its my fault for leaving him when i messaged him many times with no reply and suddenly he cares his dad is now sick even tho he previously hated him and he was part the reason he was technically homeless. Whatever his reasoning was he could have just told truth and said he just wanted to stay and i would have just taken my stuff and gone alone(liked i ended up doing anyways) no hard feelings just aliitle lost money no biggy but he did something i took personally. Imo he attacked what i use for my anger issues. Im still mad if no obviously by my previous paragraph. So very long story short if its your system delete what you like if not DO NOT delete anything.
